I have never known a woman like Rebecca’s Mom. A big rug under your dinning table will help with sound. You could also do a runner (which I personally love in my kitchen) around where you all stand and do work(not the stool side.) Love love love your farm house kitchen!
I am sorry about grandma! I am old widow also & asking my Lord JESUS CHRIST to keep me mentally & mostly physically able as there is no more family for me. It would have been wonderful to have son & daughter like you with grandchildren like your children. I would be right in there helping in any way I could Lord showed me through HIS word is spending time with HIM that reading it daily carries a promise for healing proverbs3:8 & 107:20, that worshiping HIM daily will also induce healing Exodus 23:25, by doing both I also gain promised in Malachi4:2. So maybe have someone read her the word each day even if she doesn't seem to comprehend as it may help as I believe it has kept me.
I have had a friend with ALS that I took care of for about a year and a half. At the end she moved into my home and I took care of her. We put her on the protein drinks which she drank several a day. I feel for you all and you all are in our prayers. It is a terrible disease. Just love her as much as you can.

Being there for a dying parent is probably one of the hardest and yet, most life-fulfilling things a child can do. Nothing can prepare you for that experience and recovery. Then, finding you way back to your new normal, missing the absence of their presence in your lives, can only be done one day at a time. I think having a family member having a disease killing them slowly would be harder than if they died suddenly. My .other died suddenly. She went to have a heart valve procedure and died on the table. The doctors resurrected her and she died again. My dad basically starved to death. My brother kept trying to get him help to dilate his esophagus, but nobody wanted to help my 92 year old dad.

Not an expert by any means. He showed how to fix the posts works the same if they're broken or . missing on all lengths. If it's the "latticework" you can splice and zip tie then melt slightly, carefully, in place. If the electrical wire is involved that involves either completely new wire add on or a solder splice. No experience with these kind of fences, just observation and electrical experience so do what you're comfortable doing.
Hi Justin, I enjoy your videos. You mentioned foot pain, and so I want to share this with you. Try bent knee toe lifts. I had a foot injury that refused to heal. I came across this exercise, tried it out, and my foot finally began to heal. I have no pain and very little discomfort. Start with 10 reps, then work your way up to 50 or more. Do them barefoot on a hard surface. It is supposed to also prevent shin splints and knee pain. No co$t and 60 seconds every morning. It is a serious game changer since you spend so much time on your feet. Godspeed!
Justin, I have terrible pains in my feet from various things, I use castor oil and frankincense, frankincense is a wonderful pain reliever and castor oil penetrates farther than any other oil with his healing benefits. Please try it it helps me so much. Also add some Wintergreen to it it also helps with pain reduction.

i go to farmers markets and buy a case of peppers and 20 lbs of onions and chop them up and put them in zippy bags( i need to get a food sealer and a deep freezer, one step at a time as money allows) and put them in my small fridge/freezer for cooking)
ALS is so. Bad. I had a friend who had it and sadly is no longer with us. He was an amazing road bike and mountain bike cyclist. My heart goes out to your family. Jonah does such great work. I am so proud of him.

He works on big boat hydroplaned. He race on lake Washington in Seattle Washington. But would travel to East Coast to races also. … so on a cool day my mom gone fishing, and bad storms my brother working on his boat or a big race. … the last hour my brother was with his son. He bet cancers, but ever ten minutes come in check him. He said next Doctor comes in he going push him. My mom she wanted take a nap. Both are not in pain, both are in heaven. I know this may be a bit more time consuming what if when you vacuum ceal certain produce what about if you weigh it out so you know how much is going in each one so that when you go in there to grab them for meals or different things you always know how much you’re pulling out. If you just weigh it and then write the amount on the outside, but try to keep them all about the same. Just a thought

Me I grow for sale as well as eat. I have frozen 14cuft of sweet corn on the cob or about 1200 ears, with another 200 pints take off and froze. (when i sit to eat sweet corn I want 6 ears. Do that for the 30 week I cant go out and pick it is 245 days if just once a week I eat it every day until it is gone. that is about 200 days 45 days without. Now caning butternut squash. Will do about 400 to 600 qt depend on how many my old body can do.

Wondering if something in the new house is triggering migraines New carpet? Paint fumes? New HVAC system. ? The lights. ? We moved into a newly built house in 2020 and I had migraines for 20 of first 30 days. When weather changed and we had the windows open a lot…it went away. Old house had a lot of asphalt. If I had to walk across the lot to get to the mailbox when the Sun was reflecting strongly, I would have a migraine before I got back to the house. Like someone had slapped me in the forehead.

My husband was the oldest of five kids who worked like slaves on their farm from age 3 on, milking cows, driving tractors and hoeing 3 acres of sweet potatoes and tomatoes, those were long rows to hoe...nobody slept in, especially mom, they were all in the fields all day and mom cooked meals and canned on one stove with no freezer and hung all the clothes on clotheslines after washing in a ringer washer...the kids were well behaved until their teenage years when they'd had enough...NONE of the kids farm today, they hated it, the land was sold. I was a city girl and sooo wanted to farm, my husband said NO WAY..Justin, my daughter has Lyme's, it is a struggle for sure, it hurts me to see you working in pain running the whole show, I think Rebecca is in over her head with all of her conveniences, glad Annie is there to help with the gardening and canning...take care...!
Justin I have a question, I really hope you see this.. I had complete knee revision surgery in July, I’ve been having a lot of swelling & inflammation.. I’ve been thinking very seriously about doing the meat diet. I know you had been on it before, did it help with the inflammation for you?? Did you ever mix fruits or veggies?
