In this episode, we swap out the original pickup in our Harley Benton DC Jr for a Porter Pickups P90 Vintage Hot Wind. After shooting the video, editing it, and listening back to it online through various speakers, we think it has to be said. Although the Porter definitely sounds better, we are unsure if the video tells the entire story. There is a responsiveness under your fingers and a way in which the pickup interacts with the amp that is hard to capture in the video. Bottom line, we couldn’t be happier with this swap! The Porter is hands down an incredible upgrade to this guitar.
