We keep most of it in the corner of the kitchen, with one shelf in the living room holding art bins, since those aren't exclusive to our homeschool time
Hi! Yes, the room itself is spacious, but doesn’t have much wall space. So it’s difficult to arrange storage and desks, etc. We just redid the room though, and completely customized it to max out the space we have - I’ll do a new tour soon. Thanks for watching! 😊
This was really helpful and gave me some ideas and inspiration! We live in a very small townhome and are about to have our third baby in about 6 weeks AND start homeschooling our almost six-year-old... so getting as prepared as I can! Your voice and the music are both very calming ❤️
Ohh, congrats on the new little one coming! The first years of homeschooling are so much fun - they almost feel like playing school. The older years are definitely fun too, but in a very different way. I’m glad you found this video useful and thank you for the feedback - you will rock your first homeschool year from the sounds of it! 💛
Love your space. We have a lot in common. I try to keep our walls uncluttered too but gotta keep the maps.😃 Love the stand up file boxes too. Thank you for sharing🙂
Thanks so much! 😊 Yes, I try to keep the walls as clear as possible for mental clarity. But I also want everything at my fingertips when I need it, so I often fall prey to slowly filling them back up without realizing it! ;)
Wow I love this video I'm a new learning coach for my kids and this video has given me so much inspiration for the upcoming school year. Thank you so much. Stay blessed.
I’m trying to set up our homeschool room right now. We don’t even have as much wall space as you. But I keep reminding myself....it doesn’t have to be perfect! 💖
Yes! You’ve got the right mindset! So often we do make something “perfect”, then realize that it’s not perfect for our needs, and that’s all that was really important in the first place! 😉
I am a big fan of minimal, minimal, minimal. Filing multiple subjects into binders with dividers, using stand up magazine files to group subject materials together so you can easily see them at a glance, and cleaning out often. Do not leave *anything* you're not currently using on that precious desk/shelf space. I find that overwhelm sets in quickly when our space is not tidy. Best wishes for your school year! :)
Yes, my husband made it! All we did was take storage cube units from Target and attach a sheet of wood to the top. It’s unfinished and not the easiest to clean/dust, so you may want to take that extra step of finishing the top. ☺️
@@mrsquarterblack I asked my husband, and he said he believes it was alpine boards. But we did a video on making the desks and shelves that has all the info. If you want to watch that, it's this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hztyse1a3Rk.html Thanks for watching!
Hello! We use a variety of different things. Lots of The Good and the Beautiful, Teaching Textbooks, Beautiful Feet, and then assorted other curricula that we use with our local co-op. Thanks for connecting! 🌱
