As a rat breeder, I can confidently say that is a mouse. Most likely a field mouse. Locate point of entry and patch it up, otherwise more critters will find their way in.

that’s definitely a mouse, they have bigger ears and more round, big eyes, unlike rats which have very small ears and smaller eyes.

Night feed my favorite, bull frog filled pond croaking a song along with moon and stars overhanging...magestic!
