During a press briefing, journalist challenged US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller regarding the characterization of the UNSC Ceasefire Resolution as 'non-binding.' 'We didn't veto because we thought the language, as it relates to the cease-fire, and the release of hostages, was consistent with the long-standing United States position,' Miller added. According to the UN Charter, all Security Council resolutions are legally binding under international law. Israel is in compliance with the Biden administration’s national security memorandum, which says any country receiving weapons from the US must provide 'credible and reliable' assurances that they’re following humanitarian law.

Jews and Hindus who have suffered the most know it very well.. because 60-70 million Jews died in last 2000 years both in hands of Christians during crusades + Islamic invasions, Assyrians and Nazis, 500 million Hindus died in last 1400 years mainly because of Islam.. 71% of Gaza population believes Oct 7 attack was justified in a recent vote.. pls listen to Israel envoy to UN speech Hamas has not arrived from Mars in thousands .. nor nature creates serial killer like psychopaths at scale.. they are indoctrinated like Nazis, like ISIS and like Hamas .. using the same tool the rest of Gazans read, or the entire Islamic world.. There is no evidence so far that suggests Israel is targeting civilians on purpose.. If the west today goes against Israel, tomorrow it will pay a huge price like Europe is paying now.. Like US paid in 9/11 .. No one went against US when it responded to 9/11 and they responded in a much greater way than Israel did after Oct 7..

Also, currently, Russia is only in Russia. Crimea and the 2 other regions have been simply absorbed by the Russian Federation. They are now Russia. Any NATO intervention will automatically require a nuclear response.

Security Council Resolutions are binding according to International Law and that is why the veto exists. General Assembly Resolutions are on the whole and with few exceptions non biding.

UN should invoke article VII immediate in GAZA! Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter sets out the UN Security Council's powers to maintain peace. It allows the Council to "determine the existence of any threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression" and to take military and nonmilitary action to "restore international peace and security".

the problem is even if he said it's binding , Israel will not stop the killing and no one will be allowed to force them to stop. unlike many other resolutions in the UNSC where if countries do not comply the west rushes to sanction them to oblivion … however the west will never sanction Israel even if they kill 1 million people. that's why the resolution doesn't change anything , if a law exist and there is no one will punish you if you break it then it's just ink on paper.
