Each person’s situation is different. For us we wanted to explore opportunities and to earn well, as Sunil’s family is not very well off we had responsibility to building everything from scratch, and his parents were happy as well we going to USA. As of today India is no less than USA, opportunities are good and earnings are better compared to 10 years back. Today even if I want to come back to India, it is really difficult as my kids are older and I don’t want to hamper their student life and sometimes I think I may not adjust to the hifi life there😁. Being single kid, may be you will be in guilt always even if you come here but your parents won’t be happy if you are not happy. If you get good opportunity there, better to stay in India

Hi mam thanks for the reply. Being a doctor I will be atleast able to lead a middle class life in India and family doesn't have any financial problems by god's grace. I understand compared to a lot of people I am privileged. It's just that from the books we read to the research papers that we refer to change treatment guidelines everything is from Indian doctors in the usa. So always had an ambition of making a contribution of a much larger scale. However inspite of a lot of searching i have not been able to find a way where my parents are happy without me in India. And like you told moving back would be a disservice to the kids. I guess I will have to make the most of whatever india gives me. Thanks for taking out time and typing a detailed answer!

Hello mam, it’s difficult to get job in USA with just having a degree from India. Find a job in India who can sponsor you a visa to work in USA or u can think of doing masters in USA

Ours is conservative community, girls were suppose to get married early. I had few alliances coming and my parents were ready to finalize and then Sunil’s dad approached and we got engaged. By the time we finished college, we were already engaged for more than 1.5 years, We had job in our hands and supposed to go to Bangalore. So everyone and even Sunil insisted to get married and then settle

Living in USA has its own pros and cons, we have to prioritize our priorities at each stage of life.. life in metropolitan cities in india have similar challenges as living in foreign countries
