She floated above her church's dome in the municipality of (Zeitoun, which means olives in Arabic) Her face shined but I could tell she acknowledged Me. Others felt the same. She appeared as a silhouette but I could not notice her feet. The holy mother had stayed in a shelter exactly where the church was built. She came 2022 years ago with our Blessed Lord (Baby Jesus) and Saint Joseph the mentor, escaping infanticide from Jerusalem. I still remember that night. A few hundred meters away was a Seycamore tree from which the family ate. The tree still exists. It is old and bears no fruit but it sprouted some branches all around which will soon bear fruit. My dad saw it. He came to the UK after and met my mother who is English. He told me when I was a child. He lived in the UK maybe 20 years then the last 26 years back and forth from Egypt and the UK. He had his flat in El Zeitoun this was his local church. He's buried in Mehalla El kubra now he died in his bed on holiday last November. I miss my Egyptian Coptic father watching this. I imagine him here seeing the blessed mother.

I visited this place. It is amazing the stories, miracles, blessings and healings I heard from so many people. Many are still alive today and give their testimony. Trust me when I say: She really came back and blessed her children. Jesus loves Egypt because in that place his life was secure and so was his family. I will be back there soon and I will go to Zeitoun again. God bless Egypt!

Have you Seen any rays of light coming from the small four domes which would form a figure of Mary or was the church completely dark during the appearance of Mother Mary and the light was only in her? Have you distinguished any facial features of her and in what she was dressed?

The brothers and sisters that they said were actually Jesus' cousins by Joseph's brother (Clopas) . you will notice on the cross Jesus gave his mother to John to care for as his own mother. “Don't you think if she had other children they would have taken care of her” He would have had surviving siblings who would have taken care of her. It would be surprising for Jesus to release his brothers from their obligation to their mother, especially because he criticized the Pharisees for neglecting the support of their own parents in Matthew 15:3-6. The word used in Luke 1:36 to describe Elizabeth is suggenes (pronounced su-gen-ace), which simply means kinswoman or relative. It tells us nothing about her exact relation within the extended family. All we can tell from the word suggenes is that Elizabeth was some kind of female relative of Mary’s. John 19:25 New International Version (NIV) 25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister Mary, the wife of Clopas and Mary Magdalene. Mary was dedicated before her birth to serve the Lord in the temple, as Samuel had been dedicated by his mother (1 Sam. 1:11). This required perpetual virginity of Mary so that she could completely devote herself to the service of the Lord. Joseph was a male protector who would respect her vow of virginity. Why would she then be so surprised at being told she would conceive? If she were planning on having children with Joseph in the usual way, it wouldn’t make sense for her to ask how she would be able to have a child. This question makes sense only if Mary was already planning to remain a virgin. The firstborn was to be consecrated to the Lord (Ex. 13:2); the parents were to redeem every firstborn son (Ex. 34:20). They weren’t supposed to wait until they had a second child to redeem the firstborn, and so the first son born to a woman was called the firstborn regardless of whether or not she had other children later on. Mary’s perpetual virginity demonstrates her purity of heart and total love for God. Mary’s virginity was “so great an example of material virtue” because it demonstrated her total devotion to Jesus. In Mary, we see an example of the purity our own hearts must have in total dedication to God. Her virginity also tells us something about the Church, which, like Mary, is both mother to the faithful and “pure bride to her one husband” (2 Cor. 11:2). Not according to the biblical record. He would be held in custody while in transit (see Acts 27:1) and after he arrived in Rome for a time (see Acts 29:16). The action of the main clause did not cease with heos hou. Proof the words Hail Mary were in the Bible. The first two passages from Saint Luke’s gospel is greeting of the Angel Gabriel to Mary, originally written in Koine Greek. The opening word of greeting хaĩpɛ , chaíre, here translated “Hail”, literally has the meaning “rejoice or be glad”. Back in 1968 I was just 15 years I used to go to the Virginia Mary church at zaiton many many times I went there and every time I saw a beautiful apparition now I am 71 years old and I still remember the beautiful things I saw.

I visited this Church a couple of week's after the Arab Spring in February, and it is truly a magical place, just thinking about the Holy Family resting here all those years ago in the wake of an Arab Spring, very moving, there was a sense of peace and calmness in there when all around was in chaos!. I was born a Protestant and I don't necessarily agree with everything the main Anglican and moreso the Catholic teachings, I am just happy enough to call myself a believer in God. Coming from Northern Ireland, I have seen far to many good people die and suffer just because that building over there believes in this thing, and that building over there believes in that thing! Far to many people who attend their Church thinks that makes them a Christian, it no more makes them a Christian than if I stood in a garage, it would make me a car. God Bless

@@daddada2984 Jesus died on the cross for the salvation of mankind. He rose from the dead three days later. He was ascended into Heaven 40 days later. His mother, Mary, who was completely sinless was also ascended body and soul into Heaven. Jesus declared Her mother of all human beings. She sits at His right hand in Heaven and has been crowned Queen of Heaven. If you can’t accept that, then I don’t know what to tell you.

I am a convert to Roman Catholicism, from Nigeria and I wonder the same thing too. I just discovered this yesterday, and I have watched several videos and I am obsessed. I will ask my spiritual director why this is not famous. It's amazing!!!
Probably because this is a Coptic apparition. Why would the Virgin Mary appear to non-Catholics? I’m not Catholic myself, just trying to discern this mystery.
When I was little, I use to be afraid that the Virgin Mary would appear to me because I knew she most definitely appears to people. These stories are fascinating!
I grew up in the late 1960s and am a strong Catholic. I have always wondered why this wasn't heavily covered by any of the US networks in their evening news shows (I'm sure the network anchors at that time: Walter Cronkite CBS/Frank Reynolds ABC/John Chancellor NBC would have gone to Egypt to cover this in person)

Amen, yes, she did appear here, and for 2 to 3 years. Mary, the Mother of God, is very significant. Thank you, Mary Mother of God, for appearing to so many, and in other places besides this Cathedral, in order to help people believe that your Son Jesus Christ, is the Son of God, and the true Savior of the world.

Protestants do not hate Mary. From where do you take this lie? We honour her as a great example of faith, just as Noah or Abraham. It is because of her FAITH that Elizabeth praises her. But we cannot tolerate that Mary is made to a godess by the catholic and orthodox churches. Their Mary has almost nothing to do with the Mary shown in the Bible.

@christophbreitenbach4112 hi! I completely understand your frustration w/ the comment, but i j wanted to clarify that we do not worship Mary. She is not a goddess but she is very close to Jesus, and through His blessing, she is a very powerful person to ask for intercession from. Any power she has is from God. She is only human, and incredible and holy human, but human nonetheless.
There was a lot of symbolism that was associated with Mother Mary's appearance in Zeitoun in 1968. During this period of time, abortion was being legalized in many places (at that time also in the UK). It was felt that Mother Mary's appearance was to signify her great sadness for this. It is also believed that when Joseph, Mother Mary, and the child Jesus were forced to flee Bethlehem during the rule of Herod (who ordered all children aged 2 or less to be slaughtered as he feared Jesus as a threat to his rule) that the Holy Family came to Zeitoun when they arrived in Egypt.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, now send Your Spirit on earth. Let the Holy Spirit dwell in the hearts of all nations and protect them from collapse, catastrophe and war. May the Lady of All Nations, the Holy Virgin Mary, become our Advocate. Amen

I was born in 1955 in a small town in Malta by the name of Zejtun and lived there ever since and hope to be buried in Zejtun. I am proud that Our Lady chose to appear in a place by that name. The Holy Trinity is in the bible not Holy family. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. (Whether you call it intercession or anything else prayer to mary is not biblical).
If you cant find the holy family in the bible, you need to go out and buy a new bible that doesnt have parts removed. Or read yours again wearing better glasses. You dont need to fear or hate devotion to our Mother. She always always always leads us to her son Jesus.

Seeing something like that would be life changing. But wouldn't seeing this first hand turn your faith into knowing? You would have no excuse to not live a 100% holy sin free life.
At one point Egyptian authorities ordered the electrical power to the entire area to be shut off to rule out some kind of device that could have been casting light and creating the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary--however when they did the image remained and continued to move among the towers and roof of the Church ruling out that this was some kind of man-made image/shadow and that it was completely authentic
I know a man from Australia who used infrared filming on one image and it shows her holding a baby I have seen the image it is incredible she looks 16 years old and her dress is blue and white silk

And by the way all true believers are called saints in the Bible - we are addressed as such in the various epistles - no one can be made a saint by the RC Church. No intercession is not to dead or for dead we can pray for living friends but we should only pray to our triune God through Jesus. Catholic church was formed by mix of greek pagan gnosticism and polytheism with Christianity. The 2nd commandment refers to no graven images and no where in bible are we told to pray to mary, saints or to or for dead. God makes it clear that praying to the dead is a serious sin (Deuteronomy 18:11; 1 Samuel 28:1-25; 1 Chronicles 10:13-14). Any attempt to communicate with a spiritual entity, other than God Himself, does three things: • It ignores a direct command from God. • It bypasses the best possible person to pray to in the first place-God Himself. • It opens a channel of communication with demons who hate and defy God and would love nothing more than to hurt you.

But Mary was preserved from Original Sin, she too has not personal sin, so it is rightfully correct to believed that she would have not die. In fact it was also Jesus who said that. "Whover believes in Me shall never die" Do you think Jesus was also lying? But having faith in Him doesnt mean you will never die.
