This was amazing. His voice has changed, but that's not a bad thing. Change is inevitable. It was a beautiful voice then and now. His lower voice appeals to older me. During this time of my life, when Clumsy came out, I was drowning. My friends were waving at me while I drowned and I realized I had to make a decision. Our Lady Peace was really there for me. I love bands like theirs, who love their fans enough to play a song that's over 20 years old... and I love their fans who still know every single word.
I'm certain it's nothing unique that this song has helped me so much. I mean millions are forever impacted by it. When I was younger, I was going through a rough time, and I wrote the lyrics on paper that I stuck to my walls. I wrote "you will be safe in here" in bold. I never felt safe. But every time I was afraid I could look at that, and hear it in my head. It helped get me through all that was happening. I'm eternally grateful for that. I wish I could hug them for it.
Had lots of your music playing in background while im chatting online but makes it easy to get sidetracked just watching the videos lol still love your music after all these years. Hope you guys can come back to Victoria BC sometime after this covid crap is over. We need another Canadian band to pick up the mantle for Gord and continue making great Canadian music!
My favorite song of one of my favorite bands, I’m from Italy but went to Minneapolis summer 2001 to see them perform live! Unforgettable! Thank you so much!
Because it's been close to 30 years since they recorded this song. People's voices change with age, and maybe Raine can't sing the same way and it still sound like it did 2 or 3 decades ago. Mariah Carey can't hit the same notes she did 20-30 years ago, either. It happens.
