My beautiful friend - Charlotte - commit suicide on February 6th, 2014, only a few days before her 16th birthday. It tore not only me, but every person she had ever smiled at, talked to, or loved apart. I have never been so broken in my entire life. Then, I heard this song... It saved me. The quote at the end of the original ("From time to time there arise among human beings people who seem to exude love as naturally as the sun gives off heat.") explained our precious angel perfectly. So, Our Last Night, you inspired me. I wrote a song to say goodbye to Charlotte and it got over 1,000 views in two days. Everyone was listening to it on repeat and thanking me. I made a difference; I healed some broken hearts, same as you healed mine. Thank you, OLN. Your music has helped me get through the hardest time in my life and I cannot thank you enough for that... God bless.

The original version of the song has always been saving me in my difficult times.. everytime I felt that my entire life was going downhill... This song I'm soo glad i came across it 6yrs back ... 2016 - saved me from bullying... 2017 - saved me from disappearing... 2018 - helped me to change my past introvert self.. as i had moved to a different country.. + kept me stable when one of my loved one had passed away... 2019 - helped me overcome my pain after heartbreaks... 2020 - saved me after getting backstabbed.. many times... From people i used to call "Friends" 2021 - became my motivation before giving my national level exams 2022 - currently listening to this again cuz m feeling like there's no one who will ever understand me and my feelings.... Not even the people i used to consider close and can't even get the energy to get out of bed.. in other words anxiety issues and depression... I'll overcome this soon enough too thank you Our Last Night for making such a beautiful song which saved my life multiple times and still is. You guys are my inspiration

This song is beautiful. Their voice sounds like they really cares about somebody's feelings and just want to help that person who's suffering. Just...so beautiful.

Original=wow. Acoustic=WOW! There's something about the softest end of rock that is nigh impossible to dislike and I love.

My cousin committed suicide at the age of 23 in October last year. He and I had a sibling-like bond and I looked up to him like a big brother. This song means more to me now than it ever did before because I feel lost without him, but this song gives me hope and encouragement for a future of prosperity in rememberance of him. He would want me to live my life to the fullest and succeed and I know somehow I will find the strength to do that. RIP Andrew. I love you with all my heart ❤️

Interestingly this is one of the only songs that has ever really touched me. Music to me has always been a release and a distraction but never to the depth that this piece is. I suffer from depression, insomnia, ptsd and a nice cocktail of other mental ailments and this song puts me onto the brink of tears, not because of a deep sadness but because of the possible hope that it can inspire, at 5.48am right now i'm on a deep and aggressive low but listening to this is pushing me to continue existing and to survive. I'll make it to the sunrise

This song saved my life on multiple occasions, things are really rough right now and it takes a lot to not go to bed in tears. It's seldom that I leave comments on RU-vid but I feel compelled to say something to you guys. I stumbled upon your band's channel not too long ago while looking for somebody else's music and then found your Skyfall cover under "related videos" list. You did a great job for that so I thought I should check out your original stuff. I did and I was just blown away. Everything about your music screams passion, love, hope and all things wonderful. It makes me sad yet happy at the same time. It's therapy. It's beautiful. It doesn't matter where I'm at in life right now but every time your music comes on my iTunes, I stop to listen, breathe and appreciate the moment. Not just for me but those I care about and even anyone I pass by on the street. I'm so glad I found your band's channel. I bought your music that same day. Our last night has a gift. They have helped me out in ways they don't even know. I was an addict on the border of sucide right after my mom passed away. I truly believe that I wouldnt be standing here today if I didn't have 3 things, a phone, an auxiliary cord, and an our last night playlist. My mom was the last piece of family I had that didn't live 12+ hrs away. My main cooping method was driving and listening to music. One night I was just an emotional mess about my mom, life, and drugs and the past. It was a really rainy day and I had the idea of screw it I'mma step on the gas and steer straight and the only way I was gonna stop was when I made impact into something that was gonna have enough force to kill me. Got to about 95 mph and pedal to the ground then sunrise came on and i slammed on my brakes pulled to the side of the road put my hazards on and balled and balled my eyes out till I couldn't breathe. Now I hear sunrise and I think positivly and know that I had and have hope and if it wasn't for that exact song to come on to snap me out of it, I would not be here anymore. You guys are equipped with a gift of writing relateable music that speaks to the soul. Thank you guys so much for allll of your music!!! One day I hope to be able to see you guys in person perform, and that God would grant me the honor to give you guys a great big hug and say thank you. Without a doubt you guys saved my life 1000 percent. Keep up the great work!

But little did I know that Oak Island was to come into my life and make me see color. This song, and Same Old War as honestly gotten me through some seriously dark times. Going to be honest, my friend got me into this band, and listening to their old and new songs really gave me the insight on who I am and what I want to do with my life. I always used to be down, to say the least, but when you let the lyrics get through to you. It means a lot.
