Raya, you are literally glowing. Neo is absolutely adorable and such a bright little man. He is the perfect combination of you both. You are doing a wonderful job raising him.
Parenting in warm weather is so much simpler than in the cold!! Being outside, not worrying about big puffy jackets and hats and shoes and gloves etc etc etc is definitely the best!
Some aspects are easier, but I birthed and raised three children here in CR and there are still lots of concerns and hassles like insects, snakes, and tropical diseases. But it's still an amazing place to live!
@@karendavies6426 oh I definitely wouldn’t say easier! I think it’s hard in all climates! Just simpler to not have to pile layers and layers on just to go outside.

please make sure that when you build your home that you follow the international building code in regards to railings (the house you were at has rails that seems too far apart (a babies head can get stuck))

My favorite video in a long time. Been waiting for the return to the land of Pura Vida! We live on the Nicoya Peninsula north of your wedding location towards Samara. Besos y abrazos!! For scorpions and cockroaches make tarantulas feel welcome and safe. Rock walls give them nice nesting. We see a tarantula about once a month working hard for us. We NEVER see scorpions anymore and rarely see cockroaches with and open air kitchen, dining, social area at ground level! Also encourage geckos as well. Nature's way to keep things safe.
Check under your pillows every now and then, when I was staying in Ciudad Calon I found a scorpion under my pillow a few times. So glad your loving Alegria, great place, visited there when I was in Costa Rica, your lucky you bought when you did, I think their either sold out or might have a few lots left, great atmosphere for kids to grow up.

If you leave small open bags of (ground) coffee and maybe baking soda in the van and the car, it will help a lot with the mold. I once had a car submerged in a flood and that's how I dealt with the problem. It took months, but if you keep changing the coffee I think it will work faster.

i moved last year in with my girlfriend in costa rica. groceries for me has been the biggest challange. what i have found is that feria is the best for weekly fruits and vegatables that the supermercados don't have. Maxi Pali is definitely the best for prices. i would suggest getting a customer card for pricesmart and doing bulk groceries over there!

I agree with Louis with wishing we were back to how we could just drop in at neighbors unannounced and growing up/raising children together with them. Wow, I saw Neo laugh for the first time, with you guys back in Costa Rica. His facial expression are way happier looking there as you commented. I would agree that being there is good for all three of you. You all look happier. I also think his senses are getting more not being in a walled building or wrapped up in cold weather wear around his head and that makes him feel and react differently to his surroundings. There is also some truth to the phrase distance make the heart fonder. By being gone so long going back was made more special. Love seeing you guys enjoying yourselves so much in this video. I love that you all get to experience the monkeys and all of beautiful Costa Rica. I got to visit there twice and have never been anywhere else other than the States, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'd like to go back there! Living vicariously.

You all look so happy and enjoying life, Neo looks so happy, and I'm shore he has grown too. You can mash up the food for him, make a small pan of veg rice, and just mash it or blend it, when my children were little I would make like shepherd's pie and blend it for them, same with spaghetti bol, so anything you eat you can blend for Neo. He has definitely developed his mum and dad's taste of food straight away, which is good. I'm so happy for you all. Love Costa Rica! My son has a house in very rural Cabuya near the beach. Howler monkeys are my favorite. We spent Christmas there this year. I only hope it doesn't become spoiled. Just love Costa Rican food. I t feels so healthy.
