Trinity, most people do all four years to get a degree and THEN get a career. Even then depending on what your majoring in you'll have to go get a masters because a bachelors salary isn't cutting it right now. If dancing is your passion then I suggest you go 100% and college is a beautiful experience but you WILL need to graduate before you have a job which is 4-4+ years. I believe what you were talking about was an internship and those are only for experience and last a couple of months. Your first 1-2 years of university is general studies. Regardless, FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS and don't let anyone influence what it is you want to do. Also don't be afraid to change your major/passion as this is normal as well!

Y’all don’t understand where Ti is coming from. Trinity wants to go to school for dancing and Ti is saying how she doesn’t think that is the best route because Trinity don’t go to her dance practices like she needs to or take the stuff she is currently in seriously. So why go to college for something you think your passionate about but not taking the necessary steps to ensure you are actually patient about dancing. Don’t waste money on something you aren’t 100% sure about. Trinity has dance classes and dances in high school and clearly Ti see how she acts with the activities she was previously in. Ti is honest and sometimes that’s what parents need to be all the time, honest with their kids. Don’t sugar coat anything because that’s when you find things out the hard way.

As a person who took 6 years to graduate college because of various challenges in life. College literally saved my life. It gave me connections I never would’ve had, it gave me best friends I never would’ve met, it opened doors I never would’ve walked in etc. And people who haven’t been to college will never truly understand. I know they being playful but it sounds pretty ignorant their mindset. Honestly, I feel like that was messed up how y’all did Trinity. Having a better understanding/education for your passion, whether that is acting, dancing, cooking, etc, can improve and better your performance in doing your passion. For instance, going to an acting school can build you into becoming a better actor. Also, if you think big, dream big, and believe big, your results will be big.
