We were married two months shy of 40 years when my husband went to heaven. Your love relationship is breathtaking. It explains that you know the heartache of being being separated for such a long time. It explains why and how much you don’t take each other for granted and why and how you respect, honor and love each other. That you know the importance of keeping the communication lines open. Marriage needs all those aspects in order to survive and to thrive. Take it from someone that just celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary this past summer, if you keep all those aspects alive in your marriage, your love and respect for each other will do nothing, but continue to grow as time goes by and it will survive the various hardships that you will face….and in the end, those hardships will strength what you already have..but only if you face them together.
