Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this RU-vid channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

C. Meck at PDX I was nearly late for my flight because I went to the other side of the concourse to find an open charger and the airline decided to board fifteen min early. I got to the airport at 6:30 and the flight wasn’t due to leave until 10

You've come a long way since the beginning! I recently watched some of the videos that you made in Portugal 2 years ago thinking about that I could use your video as research for my trip next summer. I must say.... your new videos are so much better! Now, you know what to say, what to be included and the videos now are so much more interesting. I do wish that once you've visited 100 countries, you would consider revisiting some of those countries again.

Absolutely! I love all the tips. I've been wanting to travel more and this is just making me more excited about having my own adventures. I can't qualify for a lot of the credit cards yet but it's giving me goals for getting my credit back on track after a bankruptcy 5 years ago (fallout from the 2008 market crash).

Kara and Nate, go back to the Netherlands and go into the province "Drenthe", the province has alot of nature. In Assen they are busy with the bus station and in Vredeveld they are busy with a small Island, and maybe visit Terra College? It's in Vredeveld so yeah, but just to let you two notifyed of Drenthe, it's a province with great nature, just like Fryslan, it's a flat province, or almost flat.

my first ever international flight was at 16 hour flight. Chicago to Hong Kong. We left at like 11 pm so it was dark for all 16 hours for my flight just like yours. First 10 years are alright. last 6 hours just drag on unless you can sleep.

I had no idea Calgary had such a nice lounge. The Intl section is new so, cool to see! (I live in Calgary) Also, I travel a fair bit but, only around Canada and I always find Calgary departures to board FAST if on time. Boarding will start at 6:50 and they're taking off by 7:05. It's nuts.

I took that flight myself too and was also surprised that it didn't feel that long and I felt good after it. it's probably because you're able to sleep for longer compare to 10hr flights. Also I heard Boeing 787 is designed in a way that they are able to keep humidity level at 15% compare to 5% on other aircrafts, which is great for your body.

My longest flight was 16 hours too. Right after a 6 hour red eye flight where I got zero sleep. I couldn’t sleep at all on the 16 hour flight either lol. It was the worst.

I have my first long-haul flight coming up in a month, Atlanta to Johannesburg, South Africa. 16 hours as well. I'm dreading the flight, dreading it. Worse when I come back, LOL. I don't sleep well on planes at all, what's the secret to getting through it?
