Hi Silvia, I commented on one of your videos before, but this one resonated with me a lot as well! I also met my husband on the mission field in India, and the mission sent me back to the states because I was unworthy 🤷🏻‍♀️ anyway 9 months later I moved back to India and married there, we lived there until I was 8 months pregnant and we flew back to the states to start our family. We now have three precious sons and God’s faithfulness hasn’t failed us! The mission absolutely loves my husband and he is involved in church life, bringing his experience to the table. God truly makes beauty from ashes, He doesn’t shame us ❤️

My husband and I have been married for more than 30 years, and when we were first seeing each other we were just 13 and 14. We also did a lot of meeting behind our parents backs, but like you, we really loved each other and felt that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We married at 17 and 18 years old, and have 6 children.

Thanks for sharing! Watching this I had a lot of feelings.. I grew up Mennonite and I still don’t understand there way. It makes me sad to here how you’s were treated in this situation. Good for your Dad for saying but what if I’m standing in the way of something God is doing. We are fallen people and fail. I just don’t understand how missions can talk but not walk the talk. If they would fasted and prayed. Testing of this was a path God wanted you on instead of labeling and shipping you away.. Your husband really loves you to walk through all that and still treat those people with love and smile. I was labeled by my older brothers reputation. Sadly I did go down a path that wasn’t straight but Praise God He saved me! I can have empathy for those that are viewed as weird, strange, or struggling and has people saying things that shouldn’t be said. I hate gossip and it makes me ill.

The way my heart was skipping in happiness in the beginning of the story. Then when you got to the hard part of the story, my heart just broke, again and again for you guys. I was born and raised Amish, so I very much understand everything that you are saying, without saying it. That culture is so hard, and judgmental!! I got married in the Amish community, and later we left the community as a couple, and later got divorced. I am now engaged to a wonderful Kenyan man myself, and praying for Gods intervention so we can be together. Your story restores my hope and faith that when it is Gods plan, he makes a way!!
