I would agree with caution though. It's not in all cases. Whereas many employers prefer military-trained job seekers because they know they'd have the discipline and well trained, you'd have to be able to prove that you can perform better. There are some employers that shy away from former military members because of our disabilities (though they cannot show it openly). I know a lot of former military members who are able to get jobs even before they retire, while some cannot find jobs to save their lives.
He is saying the truth. In New York city trains there is always posters informing people about recruitment going on. Army ,police, navy, correctional officers.
What he is saying about the US Army is very true. Sometimes they will even tell you that they will help you bring your family members to the US if you agree to join the Army.
U.S. Military Recruiters lie more than Ghanaian pastors wai! You have to make sure everything they tell you verbally is put on paper. If it's not on paper, it doesn't exist. They know how to get people to sign the dotted lines so they'll sweet talk you but it will not be in the contract. They know what you want to hear and they'll tell you. Recommend you take the contract home and read the fine details and understand it before signing. Take it from me. It happened to me and many people.
Please clarify that "your family members" ONLY means your wife/husband and children. Beware of the recruiters too, they sometimes promise you things they cannot fulfill just to get their quotas. In any case, have them write whatever they promise you and you will get them
Masa it's not true they will help you bring ur family members to the US. The only time they will help your "spouse" is when they apply for their citizenship. ACS(Army Community Service) can help you with the process. Also, your spouse's citizenship can be expedited if she has stayed in the US for three yrs and agrees to go overseas (Germany, italy, Belgium.etc) with you.
Yep! I came in as a PFC (E3) (National Guard)at the age of 35. Made SSG (E6) in 5 years and went to OCS. Commissioned in 2010. Now I'm a Major and looking at retiring in 3 years. Stayed abreast with all the changes and took advantage of every resource available. People get out after 4 years and regret it only to come back 10 years later. Time wasted! But to each's own...
The young man is right, I'm a first generation American, but parents are Ghanaians. They call something Selective Service system and it's meant for young men between the ages of 18 to 26 years. I remember they were chasing us to join the military. Even when we were in Ghana, we keep letters from the US embassy.....

Very easy to get access to military. We are really strong. My friend told me the white people were shocked the way he does his training. Why is the police so difficult to work for as a Blackman Blessings
As far as savings is concern,it’s not true that single soldiers can save more than married soldiers. It all depends on individual lifestyle. Nevertheless, there is an allowance for food and accommodation for every soldier unless the Army put you in the barracks as a single soldier and feed you then you don’t get these allowances. Married soldiers get the aforementioned allowances.
Active, Reserves, and the National Guard all go to war. Army Reserves and are supplemental to the Active army. In most cases, the Active army is not able to fulfill all deployment requirements so the Reserves and National Guard are always mixed in with Active duty on all deployments.
I want to ask the soldier a question, like if you were sent to peacekeeping and if you want to leave from the camp. Do you have to pay 1000 US dollars for the replacement before you can leave?
The answer is NO. By "leave" you mean not to return? You can't do that ( you shouldn't do that) you'll be court-martialed. ( That's basically saying they will put you in jail ).
@@isaacbaidoo6892 you took the words out of my mouth. We don't do peace keeping. Ghanaian's always ask me "are you in peace keeping again?" and my response is exactly that. We don't do that!
DJ Nyame I asked Mr Google right now, they are choping good salary E4 army rank in the USA 🇺🇸 is $2.700 to $2.900 a month + allowance s and $48.900 to $56.000 yearly more or less awesome free food at the Camp more saving s in the bank 😀😀😀😀,, A where dreams come trough , God bless America ,,Get the equipment and cash you can make it bro Kofi
It’s not up to this amount u talking about. Moreover u have to remember u pay state taxes, federal taxes, tsp, sgli, social security and other deductions so don’t make it seem like the 2700 is after all these deductions
@@estheragyapong8149 you know Ghanaians don't like doing research. Just hear the first line and run away with it. My people, let's do some research before propagating misinformation and incomplete truths.
Looking for a wife I'll advise you to go back to the Methodist faith and find a good educated woman in the US. Not advisable to bring a woman from Ghana. Just an advice.
It’s not because of the job why their marriage don’t work but they like cheating too much.Womanizing nkoaa that how most American soldiers majority are. He’s a specialist and that’s how E4 and below soldiers most of them are especially when they are deployed
Bro,everybody is not the same.I was once on a recruitment program called (HRAP),some people struggle really hard just to pass the preliminaries in the recruiting office not even talking about the official AVAB you take at the military entrance processing station.
