Our Messed Up Airplane Trip Home

OMG, the parking lot scenario was so funny, thanks guys and congratulation's on holding it together for so long!

We got stuck in Atlanta for 15 hours, after our flight was cancelled about six times. This was AFTER our flight from NC got cancelled the day before and we had to spend an extra night in NC. Also Delta. Me and two of my grandchildren who were coming to visit us in Indiana. I went to get them and it was their first flight. 10 and 11 years old. They did better than me with all the delays.

You have a lot more patience than me! I would have been crying with weariness. Good thing you didn't have bags to carry around that parking garage lol

With that much of a layover it might have been worth getting a room for the day, sleep, swim, layout and then back at airport. Waiting that many hours in an airport with or without kids at any age has got to be tiring. Love Izzy’s backpack. You have a lot of patience mom. Are your kids homeschooled? I think I would have gotten a room I’m Milwaukee. I couldn’t drive till 4am being that exhausted. What a nightmare in parking garage. How funny no one remembered. I like to snap a picture of level in case I forget.

Mom mode kicked in strong trying to find the car 😂 what a nightmare. Glad everyone survived. I personally have never been so happy to hear the car horn and it’s not even my car.

Oh my gosh. I used to live in Atlanta. The airport is brutal. Your large family survived it. All of you deserve a week of rest snd takeout!

I always take a picture of where I park the car and anything in the area that will help me find the car. The row number, floor level.

When you said starting school in front of Noah…I swear he started eating his crepe SLOWLY!😉🤣

I know the feeling I got stuck in the Orlando airport for 7 hour to fly into Denver where I had a 2 hour delay to fly into Montana. Once I landed in Montana I had 3 hour drive home.

Well that must have been miserable! At least you made it safe and sound. When we flew back from Japan a few years ago, no delays but flying economy for 11 hours just about killed me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I'm from England but have lived in the USA for over 20 years I've seen my fair share of airports and delays. The worse one was being stuck at JFK airport for over 12 hours alone after traveling there on a late PM flight. Very little to do and nowhere comfortable to lie down. I was lucky that a spot opened up on the flight before the one I was supposed to go on, could have been stuck for way longer.

Mom was double clicking and making me crazy. One click on mom, one click off mom. Lol

Well, at least you didn’t have to carry around all your bags when looking for your car 😂 I’ve been there, it especially sucks because it’s so cold!

I would need a stiff drink after all of that!

Be thankful you can afford to take vacations.... I wouldn't gripe too much about layovers....
