Dear Caryn and dear friends of the “DancingDivas” team, I have learned that many of you are of Chinese ethnicity. I am addressing all the girls of Chinese ethnicity in your group to wish, on the occasion of the “Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節)”, also called “Moon Festival”, which this year falls on Tuesday, September 17, a carefree and joyful day of celebration that will certainly be enlivened by the consumption of “mooncakes”. Ciao, Elena
@@elena5919 Thanks a lot on behalf of all my ladies. And yes Mooncake Festival is widely celebrated in the Chinese Community. During my childhood days, we children will each be carrying our own candle-lit lantern and walked around our village as we sang a funny lantern song. Every house would try to outdo each other with candles and lanterns deco. Now because of safety reason children don’t walk the street carrying lanterns anymore. On top of that most modern lanterns are battery operated/ lit. 😅
