Agreed. Slipknot was peak in my generation when I was in high school/college. STP have paved their own path and taken it up a notch, but the influence is obviously present in their work. A more brutal Slipknot (I never thought possible, but they did it).

@@MattandCamrynReact you could do every album that they haven't experienced yet in order of release and track on the album. Just make sure you put the intro from either of the two albums combined with the first song. I absolutely love seeing people react to self titled and Iowa for the first time. It takes me back to my teens when I first discovered them. I was 18 and self titled Slipknot had been out for maybe a month and I used to go to the CD shop and actually pick a CD because of the artwork or pictures from the front of the CD. As soon as I saw that iconic self titled Slipknot pic with the band I knew I had discovered something amazing. Then I got home and put it in and went on the ride of a lifetime!!! Barely anything has hit me as hard as those first two albums. I always say it doesn't matter how far down you tune or how many strings you have and how low or high you can scream because it just doesn't hit the way those two albums do. It's like Corey is trying frantically to keep up with the music and is out for some kind of vengeance and did something that almost nobody had done since Korn as far as making the listener feel every emotion as if it were their own.
