Every summer, my dad Ron and I head up to Dryden, ON to fish big musky on Wabigoon Lake. We stay at Bonny Bay Camp, and we are treated to an amazing week every single year.
This year was special. Eric caught a monster! Stay until the end.

Great video, guys. Thanks for the upload. A few pieces of advice in case you're newer musky anglers. You probably already know this, but executing during the heat of the moment is another story. (1) Don't force the fish to the surface. This is something you do repeatedly in the video, and it increases the odds of losing the fish since it causes thrashing. (2) Set the hook across the fish's face. If you look at the strike that happens at 10:26, you pull the lure away from the fish, not into it. I used to make these errors as well when I was new to the game.

First thing I learned was pull to the side ! I notice they pull up also ! Lost many fish my first season due to that ! Ever since I started pulling to the side I haven’t lost one.

Wabigoon and Dinorwic lakes are connected. Dinorwic water has a very red tint to it, while Wabigoon is filled with clay banks. There's typically a fairly solid wind coming out of the west on most days creating a lot of clay sediment in the water. Water clarity is pretty bad overall. We use a lot of big lures that displace a lot of water so fish can locate.
