It sure has been awhile! Welcome back to our channel! As you can see, we have had our baby! She has been more than we could ever have hoped for, and we are completely head over heels in love with her! Today I'm finally telling our birth story. This was the hardest, most beautiful, rewarding day of my life. Our goal was to have a pain free water birth, out of the hospital (at a birthing center), and for it to be physiological, calm, and without intervention. Although labor and delivery is unpredictable, and things didn't go perfectly according to plan, God really directed this whole experience. It was so clear how His hand was in all of this, especially with the timing of it all, and helping many of my desires come to pass. Beyond that, my daughter and I were both very healthy, and that in itself is a wonderful blessing. We feel so thankful, and we are excited to share our story with you all! Thanks for being here, and I hope this can in some way help another mama out there. Let me know if you have any questions!

Wow! Such a wild labor story! She is precious. I listened to the last part where you asked about possible episiotomy and thought that this is why they must have given it to me at the hospital. The doctor never mentioned why it was needed. My labor was much faster (13 hours) and maybe 45 mins pushing but still I got it… I am now learning that with subsequent babies labor lasts shorter and it is a relief so next time it will hopefully be much easier:-)😊

@@irinamakovetsky3038 Aw thank you so much!!! Yes I think in similar situations, a hospital would be much more likely to just do an episiotomy. Hoping and praying that everyone is right though, and that next time our babies will just pop right out!🤣

I watched your last video about pregnancy weight gain, can you do a video on the recovery of that and how your body changed postpartum/ how long it took to lose most of the weight? When you were able to start being active again, etc

There is nothing wrong in taking epidural...if you didnt , good for u..but dont highlight it like it is a bad thing...

@@deivaaero7034 Before I gave birth, I watched a lot of videos on unmedicated births to know what to prepare for, because if you give birth outside of a hospital, like I did, epidurals aren’t even given as an option. So, when I made this video, it was to help other women who desired an unmedicated birth to know more of what to expect and hear another woman’s experience without an epidural. If you don’t put “no epidural” or “unmedicated” in the title, in the picture, in the notes, etc, it would be really hard for other women to find the videos they are looking for. It’s not to make anyone feel like they gave birth wrong or made a bad choice. It’s purpose is literally just to make it more searchable for people who are looking for this type of birth story. For example, I didn’t look up c-section birth stories or very many hospital births period, since that wasn’t what I was planning for, so it wouldn’t have been helpful to me. Everyone needs to make the decision that is best and most comfortable for them. No one else can make that decision for you!🫶🏼

My contractions got more painful after i got in the tub. That blew my dream of a water birth out of the window.

Isn’t that so unexpected?? I thought you were supposed to feel relief! It’s crazy that once I got out of the water at the end, she came out in a few pushes. I never expected to give birth out of the tub!

I was in a regular but large bathtub on my side and it was such a relief. Sitting in a birth pool with belly out of water can be not so helpful

In future would personally do membrane sweep and vaginal and oral evening primrose oil rather than castor oil because sometimes it can bring on active labor while still having the effects

If you have a sweep before hand usually doesn't cause such intense ramping of contractions
