I’ve had tiny red glass chicken sunglasses in my antique shop before. I was told they keep the chickens from fighting when they see blood. They always sell right away and for a tidy sum. Mine were from the turn of the last century. I don’t know if they still make them but they might be helpful.
Yes. In a past video they used them they also had aprons on their backs to protect from pecking they also came with some funny muscle arms that draped over near the back of the neck. They did look very funny.
White house on the hill if you’re reading this, I started my chicken channel hopefully one day I could be like you and have a lot. I’ve been subscribed for a long time.❤
Guess what? I randomly found bird eggs in New Mexico, I just don’t know what kind, we think it’s a robin or a sparrow. They were under our bush they are white with brown spots/splotches, please reply if you have any questions.(disclaimer:we have 2 chances of our own birds.)
Ware sidesipper is what I've used for over 4 years now and it keeps the water cool in the summer and doesn't freeze unless it gets extremely cold in the winter and it stays clean. It's insulated
Just a FYI of what we do when me have to move our birds. We moved them after dark. No running them down, just pick them from one roost and sit them on another.
Beautiful Coop! The Amish build coops, barns, furniture ect....to really last. Quality work on everything made. So Cute...to see Bella holding the baby birds. I'm happy to see Bella is starting to understand baby birds are fragile😊
Bella is doing so well lol.... I bet she will never forget the chick incident though, I loved seeing her run with the baby Emu, of course she was going to let go!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh, that’s a nice little house for the chickens, especially where you sell the eggs and you definitely get your birds separated by breeds. That awesome I do wish you luck in your future with the amchimarnies not sure on the spelling, but you know what I mean the big black chickens beautiful birds❤❤❤
That Beautiful Baby Girl still cry’s a lot when the animals get away🥰 I can’t wait to see her when she’s grown and mature like the boys, she’s so Beautiful!
Yay! My favorite channel on RU-vid. I love your new coup. My dad built one very similar when I was a young girl on the farm. It's so nice to see your whole family working on everything together. You have a beautiful family and you all work together so well. Your videos are very sweet. God bless you in every way. I love you guys.
That is a excellent coop. Very well made. The kids are wonderful. Fully involved. Nice life for them. I pray the best for your chicken flocks. May they grow and multiply. +😂❤❤❤🙏
Hi guys👋. Happy Father's Day Jake❤. Aren't those moving machines the 💣! Those are some Giant Roosters coming out of the new Coop 🤭. Beautiful Black Roosters😍. Enjoy your day Jake 😊. JO JO IN VT 💞
When are you going to start work on the aviary again, and planting around the aquascape pond feature? Is Becky growing stuff out in the green house or are you going to just go to a nursery for plants?
Ya'll have such an amazing farm and incredible family. I just love every video you put out. There is always so much great information, and it's just so neat to see how ya'll do this😊
Ayen cemani chickens are actually pretty small chickens I think they would be bigger and the coop looks awesome I hope to see more chickens in simulator coops some day
From what I've heard, American Breese are prime for butcher at 16 weeks. They'll continue to grow after that, but their meat is at its tenderness at 16 weeks. If you soak their feed in milk, their meat will be even better. That's how the original version of this bird is fed in France. 😊
Jake you should keep at least 1 egg in the nest box. Can also be a dummy egg so they can start laying eggs. I always do to my chickens to trick them 🤪 and it works. I cannot wait to have Ayam camani later next year. Cheers from UK 🇬🇧
We do. Just haven’t done that in the new coop yet. That won’t keep a chicken from laying. They will lay when they need to lay whether there’s a fake egg there or not.
You can lay five foot fencing under coops or around the edge. That way the grass growths through overtime and nothing can dig. We did this when we built and it’s been nine years with nothing getting in!
"Beautiful and fantastic choice for a chicken coop! With the fantastic quality of your birds, I hope you get fabulous quality baby birds from them. ❤🎉😊"
Check out Carolina Coops. They make a similar coop. They recommend a specific bedding in the run. They chickens like scratching in it & it lasts a long time.
The new coop is awesome. Do worry about sun tho, but you all know what your doing. I always look forward to your videos. Oh the ending with your runaway Emu baby was priceless to watch😂 from California . When will the enclosure come for the Avery cannot wait❤
As I said in the video, I might build an attached run on the end so they can get more sunlight. In case that’s issue preventing eggs, but they may just be broody still, and broody hens won’t lay eggs.
Are you looking to add a fifth child to your brood???? Seeing some roundness on that beautiful MaMa. If not I'm crazy and you have one of the most genuine beautiful smiles I have ever seen 😊
Just mix half baking soda and half cornbread together in a zip lock so you know it's throughly mixed. Then pit it in a container where the varmints can get to it easily, and someplace it's not going to get wet.sounds really simple but it really works. In my opinion try it.
Have you ever considered long tailed chicken breeds? They definitely fit your interest of "pretty show bird" chickens. otherwise, id love to see a bantam flock. Maybe when you feel your numbers are high enough to be comfortable, you may have fun crossing some strange chickens and seeing what you get...
You should put vinyl all over so it will be so easy to clean everything once you take out the straw , just using a hose (walls and floor of course with vinyl).
Hi! New suscriber here. Love your videos, I've learned a lot. Can I ask how do you avoid your hens and roosters not jumping over that short fencing you have around them?
