Now Veldora had been bored for 300 years when he met Rimuru(first person he saw throughout that period), so he was acting as nice as possible so as not to scare rimuru away, if you remember episode 1 he asks for Rimuru not to fear him.

I like how the clowns did exactly what Laplace said they would do, the little girl clown was crying and the big one was angry. Even tho they're the villains they have a closeness that makes em feel real. I think it's just another example of how this author is so good at creating characters

9:19 because he really is insane. This is not a spoiler, I'll just mention things that were already mentioned in the anime. Remember when Leon was talking to Guy and Velzard, the first thing Guy wondered was why is Veldora not going on a rampage as soon as he woke up. Also, Louis mentioned the Night Rose castle here. That was Luminous's old castle that Veldora destroyed "on a whim". Veldora mentioned this last season, that he destroyed Valentine's castle. So yeah, basically, destroying things is what he always does. This is not mentioned anywhere, but personally, I just think Veldora didn't have a form of entertainment back then, and destroying stuff was the most interesting thing for him to do. But when he met Rimuru and discovered all these manga, he found another form of entertainment which kept him behaved.

Funfact in the Web Novel Yuuki was an asshole who don't care about the clowns, but in the Light novel they changed it and he actually cares for them just like in this scene, though they didn't properly show it, all of them were sad. Also one of my favorite character is and will always be laplace, he really, really cares for them all and has hilarious scenes with other characters like Diablo. This just makes him crying over clayman's death more painful.

(no spoiler below, just clarifications and stuff that would have been mentioned at this point in the novel, but was skipped in the anime. It's not really important. It's just fun details about how things work.) In the previous episode, the anime simplified the explanation of Diablio's unique skill Tempter, but it doesn't just prevent betrayal. Diablo actually has 2 Unique skills (the first one isn't really relevant and is only explained/mentioned in his character sheet at the end of one of the LN volumes covered in Season 2 of the anime). The first one is "Seeker/Great Wiseman". It's a mental skill (same category as Rimuru's previous Great Sage (now evolved into Wisdom King Raphael) and Veldora's previous "Investigator/Inquirer" (now evolved into Lord of Investigation Faust).) The biggest different being that Diablo's mental unique skill is more focused on manipulation of reality and magical laws than on mental effects. Diablo actually used this skill (Seeker/Great Wiseman) in the previous episode. It is the skill he used to revert the effect of Shion's unique skill "Chef" on the 3 people in the boxes. (he manipulated the way the laws of reality were applied on their bodies) The second unique skill, "Tempter", aka the one name dropped in the previous episode, is MUCH more powerful. Some of the uses of this skill will be revealed later so I will not spoil them and will instead only explain what Diablo did in the previous episode with the Tempter skill. This use of the Tempter skill is similar to Rimuru's previous "Merciless" unique skill (once someone submits to Rimuru, he can steal their soul) in that it triggers when someone submits to Diablo and the moment said person submit to him in any way or form, no matter how small, Diablo can choose to gain control over their souls without stealing them. THIS is why they cannot betray Diablo. Because now their souls are owned by Diablo, and they are now both physically and mentally unable to go against him and his will. Additionally, Diablo is now able to sense their presence no matter where they are, can communicate mentally with them no matter where they are, and most of all, Diablo can now extinguish their souls to nothing with just a thought, no matter where they are regardless of distance between them.

No spoilers here the reason why hinata and other people think they can beat veldora is because human don't live to long and only heard rumors or story about veldora while older race like vampire and demon Lords knows how powerful and destructive veldora is you might think hes a chill guy but he ain't not just as season 1 said he destroyed nation for fun and that Nation you see when valintine talk about is her nation back in the days he even mention it in season 2

i'll tell ya this, The "Lightspeed" hero Masayuki will surprise you with his power

Remember season 2 episode 18, what Velzard said about her brother. Before veldora met rimuru, he used to rampage for the fun of it destroying city's. Then skip to this episode to what happened to the city named "night rose", they just said it.

I think, Veldora did get litlle bit humbled by 300 years of solitary confinement in that cave. But if someone dare harm Rimuru, he will rampage like good ol' days.

Even if him or Veldora could potentially beat her in a 1 on 1, the chances of collateral damage (or in general her possibly using her forces to strike at his town and friends) is very high. Anyways, we know Rimuru doesn't want to fight for no reason, so he wouldn't be the type to strike full force unless needed. He doesn't want to put anyone else in danger, which making an enemy of Valentine would most likely do

Last season, before Walpurgis, Rimiru was asking Veldora abt the othe demon lords and he mentions Luminous and how she's upset he destroyed a city. This episode, we get shots of Nightrose, the city that Veldora destroyed. So yeah, the vamps are not going to forgive Veldora any time soon as they still remember.

To Veldora rampaging is similar to breathing, it is a natural think for him to do, to suddenly stop for 300 years and be alone enough to acquire the unique skill: investigator to slightly bypass the barrier to sneak a peek outside must have been a very important moment. It's like you have a hobby or addiction you do but suddenly you get bound for 300 years, imagine that. You have to remember, Veldora is a problem child that does what he wants, he only got slightly humbled because he was put in a 300 year timeout. Everything he did in the past is because he can and because he was bored. Sure there are others stronger than him, but they only kill him (which takes like what a day or two before he revives?) unlike what the hero did that stopped his rampaging impulse for 300 years.

I don't know anything about the angels aside from what is mentioned in this episode, so this is in no way spoilers. I think when monsters become too numerous or gain too much power or something, the angels may descend on the world to wipe them out or something. Some sort of balancing act.
