Badass collection guys! 2 things...Lego City Undercover is a BADASS game probably my favorite Lego game. Also the Shantae series is amazing I am working my way through all 5 games. Beat 3 of them so far 2 more to go

Love love love! The Wii U. Most of my Wii U time is spent between Nintendoland with friends, Lego City Undercover (basically a clean GTA) and Captain Toad is super chill!

I love my Wii U. I got a white one with 4 games for $45 from my neighbors when they upgraded to a Switch. I've put well over 100 hours into BOTW, I play Mario Kart 8 a lot with my brothers, and Smash Wii U is lots of fun too. Plus if you're into homebrew (I understand some people aren't comfortable with soft modding), there's tons of awesome stuff you can do. I've taken all of my physical games, dumped them into an installable format, and installed them onto a small 128gb flash drive I have in the back (it's frickin tiny so you don't really even notice it), so I don't even have to put my disks in to play them, but I still physically own them.

Fantastic video, I've got most of the same games in my collection... because of you guys! Your videos on the Wii U inspired me to go pick one up and over the last month I scoured the local retro shops around my area and got most of those same games minus game and wario and devil's third of course but some of those other high priced ones I plan on getting but I actually love the Wii U and I've been singing It's praises to my friends and I even got one of my friends to buy one as well so thank you for supporting the system and spreading the love because this is one of the greatest undiscovered gems of a system I've ever seen. The thing that sold my friend on it was the fact that he could play ogre battle 64 through the virtual console for 10 bucks he literally ran out and bought one just for that lol 😂

I love the WiiU! I've been collecting for it ever since I got mine on black Friday of 2013! I recently was able to pick up Game and Wario along with a few other games I didn't have for $7 a peice! Just found the channel and love the content, keep it up!

I heard that smash bros u is considered to be separate (not necessarily obsolete) as it’s characters are balanced/play differently. I like that there are reasons to still get the Wii U versions of games. You guys have done a lot of vids showing the relevance of the Wii U even now so thanks they are fun to watch.

The WiiU really had some great games--exactly why we don't mind seeing them ported so that it gives more people a chance to play them. Nobody should be punished from playing great games simply because they didn't get the "right" console. It's about damn time people are listening on LEGO games--we've been talking about them for YEARS--absolutely fantastic co-op offerings, perfect for couples and kids--stunning games that are fun and so accessible. So annoyed with an old buddy who worked at GS and assured us we would NEVER see a physical NES Remix release...one month later... Oh man, Splatoon--the kiddo took my challenge of beating ANY Mega Man game and I'd buy her whatever game she wanted--she did and chose Splatoon...and was so, so disappointed. She hated that game... The Steamworld games are great and the fact that they tapped into Steam Powered Giraffe for some of the tunes is epic.

We LOVE the Star Wars Complete Saga LEGO game. So damn good. And I really like the Jurassic World game as well. Outside of that we have to wood to chop :). She didn't like Splatoon? Ut Da Fa!!!!! We hopefully she gave it to you lol. Hope all is well guys. Cheers!

Nice collection. Runbow is another great party game to that you should try. It's a multiplayer platformer and the platforms disappear/ reappear based off the background color. It's cheap on the Wii U.

The game is titled Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. It's actually Shantae 4, the first HD hand-drawn game, and the best in the series. Essentially it's Wonder Boy but with cute girls and self-deprecating humor. Keep it sealed though honestly all the physical Shantae releases were limited. Play the digital version instead and pick up the DLC... Shantae 5 (Seven Sirens) is great, too.

I have most of those, some digital. You guys have a solid collection. May I recommend Pac Man Ghostly Adventures 1-2? I can't imagine they would be more than $10, and with a lesser price I scale back my expectations. Legend of Kay, while a port, is solid and probably cheap. And Tank Tank Tank is just solid arcade fun. Take care!

I admit that I never gave the Wii U much of a chance. Most of my favorite Nintendo franchises were dormant on the console (Metroid, Zelda, Fire Emblem), and others were just disappointing (StarFox, Paper Mario, Mario 3D Word). Looks like there's a lot of stuff I need to try out.. cheers guys!

My son loves the heck out of Mario Party 10. He plays it solo all the time. Not really sure why, but to him its a ton of fun. To each their own I guess. The best part of the wii u is your can use the tablet to smash rats or as a coaster for your beverage while you play fun systems like the switch. I just picked one up for dirt cheap we shall see...

Hey Nice collection got most of them except 1-2 american exclusives Amazing that some of games you mentioned a high price are compared rather cheap her to getlike Game & Wario I think prices ain't that much of a problem here instead of a specific game's availability There are indeed some exclusives I got myself which need a different console like Ducktales which was very hard to get in the pin figure version Well it's still downloadble on the E-Shop in different languages thats cool though among a lot other great E-Shop exclusives I always hated it that they made the consoles region locked Funny to see your white game cases, ours here are completley kept in blue so it's kinda weird to watch if you put american exclusives among your collection ;) I like the Splatoon Style Pad I think this is the rare protector shell since I put a decal sticker on mine which is different design to this one I'd like to see an update to your game's collection Anyway have a nice time Greetings from Germany

My first experience with Zelda BOTW was on my wii u then once i got my switch i figured what the heck I'm gonna buy it for switch as well and honestly speaking the switch version runs smoother and it's at a higher resolution i don't even mess with the wii u version anymore no diss towards the wii u version it's still good but the switch version is a must buy even if you have it on wii u.

Ducktales: Never played the original NES, but it is awesome on the WiiU Starfox Zero: Great the first time I played it but one of those games it's hard to get back into the controls if you've been away for a while Nintendo Land: Not bad. Mostly just a tech demo I haven't played since I started getting actual games NES Remix: actually got digitally. Gotta agree, it's a lot of fun Twilight Princess/Wind Waker/Breath of the Wild, I rebought Breath of the Wild on Switch for portability. But for the other two, Wii U is definitely the best versions Hyrule Warriors: Never could get into the Warriors gameplay, but that's just me Smash Bros, Switch has the better Smash game, but this was definitely solid for its time and absolutely a great game New Super Mario Bros U: it wouldn't be a Nintendo system without Mario. It's been ported to the Switch, but why get it? I already have it on Wii U Mario 3D World: Ditto what I said for New Super Mario Bros U Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge: Ran into a brick wall. Never went back to it. Ninja Gaiden's always been hard Arkham Origins: I honestly like it better than Arkham Night. Maybe not quite as good as City, but a very solid Arkham game Injustice: Not sure why I decided to get it on Wii U instead of PS3, but it was a great game. Also the first Depeche Song I ever heard was because of this game Donky Kong Tropical Freeze: I do wish they'd do a Switch original DK game, but it was the WiiU that gave the franchise it's comeback and I'm forever grateful. Rayman Legends: Played this on several consoles. It was truly made for the WiiU tablet and it shows. No other console plays it as well Splatoon: Don't really need to go back to it after Splatoon 2. Still, a new franchise that's definitely a feather in the Wii U hat PokkenTournament: not the best Tourney Fighter game I've ever played, but it was decent fun Super Mario Maker: SMM2 on Switch is serviceable and I like the new options it has. But level building was so much easier on the tablet. Yoshi's Woolly World: I have it. Played it for a couple hours and then, I must've been distracted by another game or something. Can't remember.

What?! No Just Dance games! And you call yourselves Wii U collectors?! Shame! I'm kidding! Awesome collection. I'm feeling lazy so I'm not getting up to count but last I remember I believe I was at 34 games. Shantae half genie hero is amazing! Made by the same company that did Ducktales Remastered so if you liked that one you'll LOVE Shantae. The soundtrack is phenomenal as well. Also I'll say it again: Price. I don't own a Switch. But I know if I took the games I have that were ported and included the cost of the Wii U itself and what I paid for it at best it would equal a Switch Lite and 2 games. And sure maybe a game like Hyrule Warriors on Switch has more content, but the Wii U version is like 1,000 hours to complete. I know me and know it'll never happen. The base game will be more than enough, so the Switch version is just more content, for like 5 times the price, that I'll never play.

Haha I also still have a copy of 007 Legends sealed for the PS3, but I do intend to eventually open and play it. I like how you guys discuss which games are exclusive to the Wii U and also the multiplats that play better on it, mostly because of the benefit of having a tablet controller.

We definitely need to crack the seal on that bad boy. Some of the 3rd party games nailed the tablet integration. Batman Arkham City being a prime example. It's so cool on the Wii U. Cheers!

@@GamingOffTheGrid Yeah, I don't have Batman AC for the Wii U but I can imagine how great it is. It still bothers me that Nintendo purposefully downgraded and removed the Wii U original concept of Zelda BoTU not to use the tablet functionality for map + inventory so that it doesn't become the superior version over the Switch!

@@GamingOffTheGrid You might as well not bother with 007 Legends on Wii U. The port was brought down by dumb decisions from Activision at the time. One really big oversight is the fact that you can't even play multiplayer without a Pro Controller. Player one gets the Gamepad, but every other player needs something else. On a console that literally has a multitude of controller options (look no further than Smash Wii U and Runbow as examples), Eurocom chose not to support them. They essentially locked local multiplayer behind a potentially $150+ paywall--the paywall being you go out and pay far out the ass for 3 or 4 Wii U Pro Controllers. Meanwhile....Call of Duty supported the Wii remote and the Classic Controller at launch. Third parties that didn't care about the Wii U were doing really stupid things.
