I am so happy I came across your channel today and have watched several videos so far. Not certain what it is, but I needed your warmth, talents, creativity and graciousness in my life. After losing my dear husband two years ago, I have just been floundering so to speak. And being 75, I cannot do things like I used to. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your family do amazing things. Heck I may even try making homemade bread again and grilling a delicious steak. Blessings to you and yours. ❤
I love how you show the realness of your farm and cottage. Outdoor spaces get cluttered up and we have to be intentional about resetting them. Yours is beautiful and simple. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful! Miss those times when we’d all sit outside to eat around the table. When our oldest daughter got married and they’d come over we were always outside finally 1 fall evening we ate dinner in the dining room and he remarked on the fact we do eat inside.:)
I love the lights, they give such a warmth and ambience. In northern bc, it doesnt get dark til 10 pm. Even so, thankyou for your inspiration, God bless to you and yours!
Denver Steak. Yes! From the top of the ribs on the chuck. Yours looks extra Delicious! Love the pizza oven too! I would love to have one but for the time being my wood fired oven for pizza and bread will have to continue to be my wood stove. I know how much work goes into making videos such as yours. That’s why I love coming back to your channel often. I get to see and appreciate just how much fulfillment & joy you and your family get out of taking the extra time to make your meal not only a production but a celebration as well. Love your channel! Thank You!
You both have wonderful calming storytelling voices. Thank you for sharing your sweet moments caught in time, they bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye.
Watching your outdoor backyard adventures brings back fond memories of raising my family. Always enjoy your videos and seeing all the beauty of creating life with your family.
Elliott Homestead, you have a beautiful way of captivating your audience! Not only is your property beautiful along with your family, but the backdrop of your property just makes it all amazing!! Best homesteading family all the way around as far as I’m concerned!! Will have to try those Denver steaks👍🏼take care.
These vlog-y videos have me swooning! Also, the outdoor space is major inspiration. We just purchased a Craigslist Big Green Egg and I’m excited to set the outdoor space and make it special. Thanks for this video. ♥️
This is such a beautifully done video. You guys are so artistic and raw and inspirational and fun! My husband and I live on a little acreage in South Dakota and have slowly been making it come alive with life- vegetable gardens, perennial gardens, tree plantings, chickens, and of course our 4 sons! You guys inspire me and I am encouraged by the perspective you continually share- that this way of life isn’t easy, yet it is full and good and so wonderful to experience and share with those around us. ❤ Ps. I have that artichoke wine stopper too and it made me smile to see you have it too.
Porter road is the best, love it I’m in Los Angeles, CA . After I sowed one of your videos I ordered and love it ❤! Yes was said on video it’s his space his design 😂.
We finally added on to our back porch & doubled our concrete back patio so we could do more cooking outsie. Now, to move the chickens farther away so we don't have the flys so bad around the food. But we have horses in the pasture on the north and pigs at the neighbor to the south, so maybe we will just have drinks outsde around the fire pit. Ha!
@@theelliotthomestead yes! That is a great reminder. A few years ago we had one of those giant warehouse fans that we found on craigslist and made the back porch. Much more enjoyable at our old place. Excuse me while I go search marketplace and craigslist for fans lol
Wow Jenny, so many beautiful things and that cake is on my mind....looks delicious. I love that big blue urn and the old silverware. I'm going to look at your shop soon.
Plant way more! That's actually what she was saying, that if you just plant a couple of seeds they will all turn into 1 single plant. Her "bush" of clinatro is just like a million single tall plants there
For a short period of time, no. If left with the salt for way too long, then yes, the meat will eventually become dried out. But salting for a bit (think 30-45 minutes) before cooking helps the salt permeate the meat and flavor it deeply. Personal opinion, but it works well for us.
