A month ago I proposed to this amazing woman. Our story is one that not a lot of you know yet but I'll attempt to summarize it in the caption. I've known Victory since 2016, we met in University, and honestly before long I loved her. Loving her really did come naturally to me, the only issue was I graduating in a few months. Regardless, we dated for 1 amazing year, went our separate ways, only to reconnect again in December of 2019. We spoke on and off for a couple of months but by the end of 2020 we decided to commit to one another and give love another try. By January 2021, I asked her to be my girlfriend and here we are now.

On the 16th of March, I proposed to my sweet girl but I couldn't do it in any ordinary way lol. Firstly because I'm a sucker for surprises, and secondly because I needed this woman to feel honored on that day.
Guys, I planned a fake proposal. I got one of her closest friends (who is also engaged now lol) to pose as the one whose proposal they were all prepping for. I pitched the idea to her boyfriend at the time, then pitched it to her and they both loved it. Best believe they pulled off Oscar-worthy performances on the day lol. I didn't want any of their mutual friends to know just so the proposal would be more believable and that's exactly what happened.

The journey hasn't been an easy one but its has definitely been worth it. I have grown in my understanding of what it means to love and I have watched my fiancé grow as well. After the Lord, I have always had the biggest room in her heart, and I'm so grateful that we never gave up on each other or on love. I have known Victory for about 8 years now and our love has honestly only grown sweeter. I love you Victory, and I will continue to allow the Lord teach me what that really means. Here's to continuing our journey, but this time, in Covenant.
