exactly. i have seen so many posts that aespa is better than blackpink and that they're way more popular. saying that they are better than blackpink is a personal opinion and you can't force someone to change that but popularity wise... they are nowhere close to blackpinks popularity. aespa is a rookie group, essentially you would only know them if you're into kpop. they haven't reached the us yet (i live in the us). i wouldn't know them if i didn't listen to kpop. blackpink on the other hand is known literally everywhere in the world. even if you aren't in to kpop you know their name because their popularity is so large that you can find them on any radio station or award show. for example let's take one if not THE biggest radio station in the us kiis fm (they have over 1mil listeners not even counting random people flicking through stations) they have played at least 3 of blackpinks songs. comparing is ROOKIE group with only one song to blackpink is a stretch. im probs gonna get attacked for this comment but i brought the facts soo

exactly, I don't get why people compare a rookie group to an established group. This has been going on since kpoppies compared G-idle to BP saying " G-idle is gonna end their career blah blah blah" but then they release Square Up especially 4D that was a cultural reset bruhh, then 2019 came compared them to Itzy after that they got to have their successful world tour, and then now aespa? plzz aespa is good but take a look at BP's debut and debut stages, their presence as a rookie group was breathtaking. I am not saying Aespa doesn't have stage presence, maybe it's just me who doesn't feel anything unique about them knowing that they are from SM and SM artists have uniqueness in their own way. It's just that Blackpink oozes over all charisma and presence, and that's what made them known and successful for. Speaking of new gg, there's a possibility that yg new gg will debut next year, Can't wait for the rookie of the year next contender!
