This is honestly the only family channel that I actually like. All the other family vloggers out there really exploit their children, but I love that Chris and Jessica allow their children to be themselves and respect their privacy as well. The whole channel just feels very happy and genuine, not fabricated at all :)
yes! I love that their channel is not for making the most profit off of their children (like some other family vloggers) but it’s about documenting and sharing.
I'm a Healthcare worker, and I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you and the rest of the family for being so wonderful during this entire thing. I also will not be seeing my family for the holiday and as much as it hurts my heart I know it is so necessary to keep everyone I love safe. Thank you for being a beacon of hope for me and all other essential workers 💕
Hoping u n ur family is safe ...I understand what u r feeling becoz I have been experiencing this since the start of lockdown(midmarch)haven't met my family at all past these months n working without pay being on frontline n cases are also increasing triple times in my country...stay safe n healthy 😊
Petition to make the new end clip Duncan saying “goodnight everybody” and blowing a kiss! I will forever love the Parker laughing, but a little change never hurt anybody! & that clip was ADORABLE
My mom is a nurse at Duke, and my dad is a PA at the VA. We have to be especially careful in the world so my parents dont accidentally give COVID to their patients. Noone has ever thanked me for being at home with my parents, which I am now because university is online. But it felt really good to be acknowledged for some of the fears our family face everyday. ❤
I recently quit my job to keep my family safe because I’m still living at home (Also my mom is a nurse). So I can at least partially relate to you. I hope everything goes well for you, and that your family stays safe! 💛
Who remembers when it was Parker doing the shows before bedtime and baby Duncan crawling around in the background! So fun to see them change and grow! It’s been so fun especially to see Duncan’s personality grow so much!
Hospitals here are getting overloaded fast. My dad is an essential frontline nurse. I worry about him because he’s a little bit of an older man, but we need his income to survive. We’re really grateful for him, and really grateful for people like you and your lovely family that is taking this pandemic so seriously. It is really serious. I wish more Americans would get their act together and realize this. Anyways, I love this beautiful family!!
I’m from Holland and thanksgiving is not a thing here, however I’m 27 and this year has been a complete rollercoaster, from having Covid in march to a breakup after longterm relationship in april. Ive had to move in with my parents again as i also can’t find a job. Im just so grateful for my parents. So im cooking them thanksgiving dinner this week with american recipes❤️ also Jessica you’re amazing
Woah! That’s the first time I’ve heard anyone thank the family members in the same households as key workers. And that hits different. We spent most of the year shielding (not going out at all for anything, it lasted for like five or six months). But since then my dad has had to back to work as a bus driver and it has had me worried as I am “extremely clinically vulnerable” but it’s an important job and obviously we need the money. So to be thanked for that is surprising but also really nice 😊 thanks Jessica! You just made my day ❤️
Duncan is adorable. What a sweetie. I had to laugh when you should Christopher laughing. I could not stop smiling. That was the absolute best. Happy Thsnksgiving! Thank you.
awww im early, so i wanted to send you all a vurtual hug!! you make my days better. im 25 and in a toxic family, so watching you all being sooo respectful with each other and love each other, really makes me happy!
Left over turkey cubes, broccoli pieces, cream of mushroom or cream of cheddar soup. Put in a casserole dish top with cheese and croutons and put in oven. Warm thanksgiving leftover goodness
Honestly I love that you talked about your reasons for not getting together on Thanksgiving anymore. Originally, I was also going to drive home to see my parents (so it would only be the three of us total), but I changed my mind in the last few days and decided not to risk it. It is ok to change your mind and cancel your plans, people!!
My friend married an American and invited me to their thanksgiving one year and the sweet potato/marshmallow thing completely threw me! I had no idea what they were serving me 🤣😜
I'm so blessed to have gotten a new job right before quarantine in Feb this year. I am a checker at a grocery store! I would be homeless if I didn't have my job! I haven't gotten sick and sanitize every second I can! It's so important to be safe, healthy and wear a mask! ❤️ Thank you for the appreciation! 🙌
Thank you Ballinger Family to like my comment!! That's awesome!! Y'all brighten up my day always!❤️ I'd rather watch you then Netflix or anything else!😊❤️
Duncan is a natural comedian, I lose it when he gets up close to the camera. "Why are you thinking about that?" had me laughing. Just like the other day when he said "Three pairs of socks?!?!" Too cute!
jessica talking about thanksgiving leftovers - yeah, totally get that part but we do it whenever there’s a birthday, any event, and Christmas. usually at least one of our food from Christmas is still fine once it’s the New Year 😂
You are the first RU-vidr I have heard/seen thank the families of Essential Workers. I have 2 under 2 and me and my boyfriend have asthma (I have exercise induced asthma as well as a severe deviated septum and nasal atrophy), so it makes me feel appreciated knowing my stress and anxiety doesn't go unnoticed to society even though I don't have DIRECT contact with others besides family
My MIL is vegetarian and (in the south) we make dressing, not stuffing. I make a big chicken and dressing and a smaller squash dressing (vegetarian) as a side. EVERYONE loves it! It is delish!!!
It’s refreshing to see other people doing the right thing. I will be celebrating with my brother and my parents who are thankfully amicably divorced. Our county has had around a 20% positivity rate. I’m not sure how that compares to other areas, but it’s high for us. Thanksgiving has always been such a special time because my family is special. It makes it even harder that I know the rest of my extended family will be gathering. My grandparents are elderly. My grandpa is diabetic. My cousin has lupus. Her husband is undergoing chemo. My other cousin has a heart condition. His wife is a heavy smoker. Basically, my immediate family is the “healthiest” yet we’re the only ones worried. It makes me mad, all the people I love risking their lives for a stupid gathering. They simply aren’t safe; it’s not a pod situation. They work, send their kids to school. They go on excursions. And they believe in the pandemic! Don’t get me wrong. It’s just that they are not fully grasping how bad it could be. Anyway, rant over. It is notable that at 17, I’m more educated than most of my extended family. I love them more than anything, I just wish they’d do the right thing too.
I have really admired your stance on covid since day one. I know not doing annual hoilday events is hard, but it is really what is best to keep not only our own family, but also our community safe
Its a family tradition in my household to make left over Thanksgiving burritos the day after burritos 🌯 🤪 And thank you and your family so much Jessica. As a New Nurse during this pandemic, I am beyond grateful for families and people like you, doing your part
With the HAM I always make a glaze that is AMAZING 😍 and everyone that tries it absolutely LOVES it and it is Brown Sugar, Mustard and water and it is delicious! Just a thought since you don’t know what to do with the ham
Our family just decided to not eat together. I’m really sad about it, but I know it’s the safest way this year. We are doing a zoom so we can each share what we are thankful for. We always do this before our dinner. So trying to keep our tradition going. My adult kids wanted to do this, so you know it makes my momma heart happy that they want to carry on tradition. Thanksgiving leftovers are the best! We always make so much food, too! Bailey’s hair is super cute! Love doing puzzles. Happy Thanksgiving, Ballinger family!
I’m German but I spent a year in the US 4 years ago. When my hostmom made the sweet potato casserole with marshmallows on thanksgiving I was very sceptic. Turns out I was right, I hated it. She tried again Christmas Eve with fresh sweet potatoes to make it less sweet, still not my jam. But I remember this specific dish more than anything and I love that. It’s a memory I will cherish forever and that dish is now more American to me than burgers or spare ribs 😂
From Melbourne Australia (spent 112 days in stage 4 lockdown) we are praying for you all in the United States that things are under control soon or that at the very least you can cherish the moments spent with your household this holiday season 💖
I appreciate you Jessica for being safe with quarantining and the steps you all take. I’m a nurse and work with COVID patients. It’s a real and scary time. I’ve seen families lose family members because of COVID. Thank you so much for promoting safety! ❤️❤️❤️
This is my first thanksgiving living since I moved out and I’m cooking for my family, I think I want to just copy your menu!! Love you guys and I have loved to see your perspectives on everything going on. You guys have done an awesome job to be super safe!
Also for the ham brown sugar and pineapple juice mix that together and pour over the ham it is easy and not hard to make you cook it at regular temp and time
My husband is an essential worker. It is sad we can't have a semi big Thanksgiving. My little girl Charley is one and hopefully enjoys my holiday food. I am trying a couple new recipes. My plan is to make everything ahead of time so on turkey day we can eat early. My menu includes turkey, mashed potatoes, olive oil rosemary bread and cornbread stuffing, green beans or brussel sprouts, gravy, and 2 ingredient pumpkin bread. The hashbrown casserole sounds amazing. I hope your family has a great Thanksgiving!
What a beautiful family! Happy Thanksgiving!! We may be miles and miles apart, but you are in our heart!!❤️😘You always make my days brighter and my smile sparkle️. Your charm is irresistible!! You look energetic. You have a great smile.
Omg. This was hi-larious between the never-ending "Ants Go Marching," Christopher's perfect expressions, and Jess' laughter, I was literally laughing my head off! :) Thanks for giving us smiles Ballingers!!!
Being from Wisconsin, I appreciate your willingness to be so responsible. If others in my state would do this we wouldn't be in the predicament we are in right now.
Me loving the ballinger family everyone included because they care about others and put others first instead of being irresponsible and making sure everyone is safe and taking all precautions.
