Happy New Year to Sammy and team! I received some bad news at work today and it made my day to get to watch another great episode.

Based on what we know and hear, I think he should've whacked John Gotti and his entire crew and taken over. After seeing the danger which his big mouth and even bigger ego posed to the entire mob, The Commission would've agreed happily.

One of the few people that could make his videos twice as long and people would still wish they were longer. Sammy is honest about missing the life instead of being phoney and always saying he regrets everything he did and wishes he was never a part of it all.

What it's become??? You realize NYC was an absolute dirty, smelly, drug infested scum hole, riddled with poverty and crime like no other city, at no other time than in the 70's, yeah? With a city of that size and that large of a population it's always going to have these issues, but even in this Covid environment and crappy economy, NYC is far better off than it was in the past. Even after 9/11, New York continues to thrive and the citizens are all heart, never give up, never say die. Tourism, the fashion industry, music, the arts, television and movies, professional sports and that edgy dark side, New York is wanting for nothing and for the people who love the hustle and bustle of the big city, they are never left disappointed! Yes, a big part of the underworld culture has changed, but it was only in that brief period where the big players in organized crime were so well known and out there to the people. Now the groups that survived have somewhat learned their lesson and have gone back to operating behind the shadows again. The only big thing from that era that happened that was so interesting and so unprecedented was that the world got a peak behind the curtain, largely thanks to John Gotti (he was great for the curious public, not so much for the secretive society that depended on that secrecy to thrive and survive). But today, even though the smart ones have learned to try and resist the spotlight, the internet and technology (much in the hands of law enforcement) makes that pretty near impossible to do. Yet try to come up with the names of the biggest players in the Chinese organized crime factions. Some will be able to say their names, but definitely not the general public, who pretty much all know who John Gotti and Sammy "the bull" are.

I agree what NYC Is today is a shame NYC is dead my best friend got a tattoo that says Rip NYC with the old skyline behind it.

I remember going into China town with my parents getting the tamagachi toy etc. I get nostalgic when I watch shows like Seinfeld as I can recall certain smells and moments from the 90’s in NY, idk if it’s just because it’s perspective as a kid but it almost seemed like 01 and after it felt like completely different city..

I didn't grow up in the slums so when I say I miss it obviously I'm not talking about the crime ridden elements. NYC no longer has a soul...

No matter how many ways I try to imagine how that one went, I can't see Todo telling that and it just being some wild rumor. @@Sifujonristeroh no , there's really nothing around here for me I'm not into sport combat I am a lifelong martial artist then about 25 year ago in Puerto Rico a friend introduced me to Wing chun , he was a ex special forces guy I had a lot of respect for him and then I ended up you know learning as much as I could which was a good amount as far as my structure and he then introduced me to jkd which helped me alot I ended up buying a book the Bruce Lee book which led me on a Journey I did BJJ so I could be comfortable in uncomfortable situations as far as the chokes and submissions and I just wish I could find a place you know until that happened so just continue to learn what I can
