I remember watching your vids before SL from beta/Pre patch pvp and how hyped you were because SPriest were good in SL Beta and then on release SPriests were gone. So good luck with this expansion or maybe the next one, based on how that class looks so far tbh. Stay strong.
Kinda sad that Painbreaker is gone at launch :( spriest should always play like this. To have some decent buttons outside of popping all cds (which takes like 5 seconds of gcds) + mindgames.
i never forget shadow in BFA - nearly no changes, then the mini raid came up - and oops.. shadow was good on three spread out mobs (or it was two bosses and adds?) anyway -50% dmg in what they should excel
Anboni has different spells on his action bars... Im pretty new to this and trying to learn the new rotation... what is the spell in the Z keybind? is that race specific?
The Void will embrace itself, behold Anboni he will be consumed if we do not stop him now! HE WAS TO LONG IN THE TOWER OF THE DAMNED TORGHAST! WE HAVE TO STOP HIM!( Magni Voice) CHAMPION! PS: Good luck in DF, Boni.
There's a juicier build floating around that doesn't rely on void eruption/ascension, just pure proc based with max dot damage, it does way more damage/pressure than the 1 min cd build, check it out !
We should definitely get compensation.. especially if you won 5 matches and the lil bastards leave and you get stuck with 0 rating and 300 honor... shit happens way too often... 150 rating loss for leaving isn't enough apparently.
Other than personal power, 2 quick gameplay/Interface changes would make shadowpriest much more fun to play and faster, too: 1. Remove the Insanity bar and replace it with the 3 orbs mechanic of MoP, its boring to look at another % bar and takes a while to fill that up in quick solo shuffle matches thats not so nice to look at and manage - personally, i preferd the mana only mechanic of classic, but since every DD can selfheal, it makes no sense anymore to go oom as a DD caster, so the orbs are the best compromise in modern takes of wow class design. 2. Remove the active void form and replace it with a talent for a passive voidform overriding shadowform, that just is an improved shadowform made passive, the problem here is most other talents would not be able to compete with it, sine void form gives void abilities, too. I do not mind void magic in additon to shadow and shadowfrost, but prefere not to have multiple "forms" like a druid as shadowpriest, besides, this active form can just be cc'd away. But whatever, nr1 is the most important one.
as a mage main seeing fire mage be D tier in every of the rankings is quite depressing as someone who has been favored the last few expanions every time
Last time I believed in those "experts" and their tier-lists, and started to play an "S-tier class", my country invaded a neighboring country. So be careful with this stuff...
@@MadWoopie While we'll definitely miss our proper mindbender (unless you talent into it), the Mind Sear + Echoing Voids (Idol of N'Zoth) build I found very very effective in Mythic+ where you focus on Mind Blast Cleaves and Mind Sears, this is a more balanced build where your single target manages to pull it's weight too. We currently can't both talent into the Mindbender and the Idol, unless we maybe hit level 70. With my stats at level 60 the Prism (Mindbender legendary) helps me do both burst AoE when I have no Mind Sears ready yet for an AoE pack. In general the fantasy is great with all these idols. In practice some talents are still quite bugged, such as Screams of the Void doing basically not what the tooltip says or only a very small % instead of 40% faster tick rates. You gotta however talent specificly for ST in raids, but since it's easier to swap between builds now this shouldn't be too much of an issue and considering we have decent options to add only a little or a lot of AoE will help us significantly in raids too, so we can adjust to the different fights. However.. Shadow Priest remains a spec that will have to press more buttons to get equal/good dps throughput, but we have great utility which is especially great with Mythic+ or Raids in Leap of Faith and Improved Mass Dispell (Bursting affixes). Add PI to the mix and you're still going to be secured into a raid slot I bet. Bringing a Shadow Priest allows the raid to bring the currently much better ranked healers: RDruid, PrEvoker and Hpala, considering both priest healers are lower on the list. And yes we're finally doing very good in Mythic+ with Mind Sear.
But doing Tomb of Sargeras Mythic on my 252 SP i couldn't get past 3rd boss, but with other classes like Retri, Warlock, Hunter or Shaman it's so easy.
Man i love everything about Spriests fantasy, yet everywhere i look, people shit on them for DF, yet you make content that seems hella fun & interesting. Realistically - how hard is it to get into shadow, w/o prior knowledge?
