Their love for their children makes me tear up. I never received that, in fact it’s such a foreign concept to me that seeing these two men have a desire to really connect with their children seems rare and beautiful.

Felt that. My parents have the desire I think, but there’s too many elephants in the room and shit under the rug for any authentic connection to happen. I can be a version of myself, but I can’t be me. Seeing two adults (especially men) both respect and love their children gets me emotional. It makes me wonder how different life could have been

Shortly before my mom became bedridden I took her to a few movies. One was Christopher Robin. There was a very emotional scenein the film, and I held my mother's hand. As we sat there I was overwhelmed with gratitude to be there with her. It was one of the most special moments of my life.

A upcoming show should be the guys testing products and how they work for people with temporary (or permanent) disabilities. Example there is a product to help Link slide his socks on while he can’t use his one arm. Also, cast covers for showers, do they work? Waterless shampoo is a thing or what is available for helping do your hair while temporarily unable to do so as normal!

i don't listen to ear biscuits often but this one was so special to me, it's been both an amazing and very hurtful year for me and listening to their very personal moments made me tear up a lot. esp the part about how we as people cling most onto relational memories made me realize how dependent I am on keeping a good relationship with my close ones.

I think 2022 is the year of R&L being unhinged. You guys have really let yourselves go this year and in a very good way. I hope you keep doing it next year. Just keep on experimenting and being true to yourselves! On another note, mythicon is also my number 1 moment personally. I'm from Asia and the convention was the reason I went to the US for the first time. Aside from meeting you guys and the mythical beasts it really expanded my world and opened my eyes to exploring more of the world. Love you guys! Bymb!

Link, I know exactly what you mean about that time with your mom. When my Dad passed, right before everything shut down for Covid (literally the day after his funeral, all gathering was canceled, it was March 8th, 2020). My sisters, and brother (there are 6 of us) spend 5 days in the end of life Hospice suite. It was so important to that moment, and to the next 15 months where we all mourned separately. We are so grateful for that time together.

Rhett talking about them creating from the soul was so wonderful to listen to. For various reasons I've gotten behind on GMM/Ear Biscuits (hence why I'm just now commenting on this, several months after it released). It's not the first time this has happened but every time I come back and get caught up on all the content I've missed, it just feels refreshing and like coming home again. (I've been watching a lot of MatPat's content on his various channels as well as Smosh content, plus various Animal Crossing content creators who have smaller audiences but are still fantastic in the meantime). It feels good to come back and hear your voices and and process what you're experiencing, both good & bad & everything in between. Love you guys so much and so proud of you.

Here I am again I just had to mention this one thing. Watching parts of the mythical show that were available to us the main thing I took from it was when Jesse was finished singing with you and she headed over to the side of the stage where so many people were waiting for her and she and Christy embraced and just you could see how happy they both were Christy was just as happy for her as she was for rhett and Link..... She was so proud of Jesse and it was wonderful to see this you all of you have taught us so much your love for your families no one has made me laugh harder then you two goofy guys..... I loved this episode. So often ear biscuits is focused, which isn't a bad thing, there's 50 or so a year. We got a bit more of a peek behind the curtain for the guys on this ep and it's so good. It resolidified my respect for both of them. It was a nice reflection on 2022. Looking forward to 2023 with the guys and the GMM crew and Mythical staff as a whole. Please- feel free to take creative risks, pursue personal projects and growth, continue being your mythical best and we will love your content. Mythical/GMM/R&L is incredibly special. I just wanna say what keeps me from listening to dispatches from mertyle beach often is I just really need a visual component to stay “in” the story. I know the podcast is recorded virtually since you guys are in different locations but I really think it would still be worth posting a visual component of the online call similar to how you did ear biscuits with the sexpert who video called in! i had a 103.5 just from my last booster! no one in my immediate family (12 people or so) have gotten covid but my aunt & uncle and nephew have. and my great uncle got it and died.
