The ball peen craw is a great fly. I have only fished it a couple of times but have already got a few fun little bass on it. I don’t really fish for carp, but if I happen to hook one while fishing the ball peen for bass, I’ll take it. I have also tied a ball peen Cypert Minnow and ball peen Clouser but haven’t had the chance to fish them yet.
@@Madriveroutfitters Made a purchase today. It was very easy. What flies do you suggest for small lakes in central NY (finger lakes area)? Going after Carp, Bass, Perch mainly.
Hey Brian! Excellent video, like all others. My question is will these floes work in 75-90F water in August in Massachusetts ? The rivers here are murky and I can see big carp when they come within 10 ft of me but they get spooked or appear uninterested. I have tried olive/white/black wooly buggers, brown crawfish, hares ear nymph. Which of these flies you talked about should I try first? I will visit your online store as soon as I get a reply!
Please send this over to Brian directly at admin@madriveroutfitters.com. He will respond there. He can't and doesn't respond to comments here on RU-vid. Thanks.
Mad River Outfitters thank you! I just recently discovered your channel and I’ve been binge watching your videos. I’ve already learned so much in such a short time.
best panfish flies I know are the raggedy ones in your trout box that have seen one too many fish, panfish love all the little bits and bobs sticking out everywhere
Theres Carp all over where I live in South NJ. Can i use my 5wt to go after carp or should I go up to an 8wt? I've been looking at an 8wt for bass, snakehead and other species. Thanks.
