We don't sign papers at a herero cultural wedding, and instead of vows, the elders actually give omaronga. So this wedding was more diluted with western culture 🤷
Super late this time🥺 But this video got me all emo 🖤 It’s so beautiful 🍃 I love how Pukuu captured everything and the details Wishing you all the best on your new journey and a beginning of being a whole wife ❤️
Thank you for taking us through this beautiful beautiful wedding ceremony. Especially that even non otjiherero followers such as myself could fully follow what was happening. As culturally educated people, we now appreciate (even more) the cultilural diversity of Namibia.
What a beautiful wedding + Family!! Thank you for sharing your special day with us Tjimee :) This was sooo interesting to see how a traditional Otjiherero wedding is, i even wish i was there (LoL ;P ). Just one thing: Please explain Why the bride sits in a room all day with her face covered? i feel like it's a sacred thing in your culture, or am i wrong? i love learning about different cultures.
