Our Vacation in New York City 2024 Day 5 Part I: FAO Schwarz, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's 

Another fantastic day. Love the memories it brings back to me. Loved spending Saturdays and Sundays walking around New York. Always plenty to see etc. Glad you got to see so much. I’m w Ashley with funeral services…it would have made me very uncomfortable. That never happened the number of times I visited the Cathedral. However St Patricks is beautiful. Thanks for always sharing your trips. 😊

I discovered your channel in 2017 when we were planning a trip to London. Just wanted to say how much your travel vlogs help people! I travel with my autistic sons. The more planning I do, the more enjoyable the trips are for my sons. So I appreciate your willingness to share all of the little details of your trips!

As a native New Yorker - raised in Queens mostly, five years in Brooklyn - it is wonderful to live vicariously through you guys, touring my old hometown. NYC is too crowded for me now, as an older person in my early 60s now I'd find it overwhelming and exhausting. I do sometimes get nostalgic for the "old days" there though. I have wonderful memories of my childhood there. NYC is an amazing city, even with all the ways it has changed. I'd love to visit again in the next year or so, but I would do it in "smaller bites". I'd do a whole day just at the Metropolitan museum and the Guggenheim museum. Then a whole day just for Central Park. By the way guys - those bagels you had are not authentic NYC bagels! 😁 Makes me a bit sad that there are so many bagel places all over NYC that offer what are just bread rolls shaped like bagels! Bagels have a very distinctive texture and flavor. The ones I ate as a child in Brooklyn were out of this world. My siblings and I used to come home from school, stop at the corner market for a bag of fresh bagels, and sometimes my Mom would have picked up an Entenmann's coffee cake or Danish ring on her way home from school too (she was a teacher), and we'd have those bagels with sweet butter, sometimes whipped cream cheese or peanut butter, but usually just butter on the bagels, untoasted. My favorite were the salted bagels. Ah, the Good 'Ol Days.

Brought back memories of Ice skating at Rockafella Centre. The Christmas tree is beautiful to see, almost as beautiful as yours😁. Thanks for sharing your day. When next in London you have to go to Brick Lane and try a salt beef bagel at Beigel Bake. It’s an institution and open 24/7.

Yay you went to the Met! I don't ever get emotionally moved by art, but one time walking around the Met I found the painting that had been hung up in my house for as long as I could remember... Except it was the REAL deal and it was GIGANTIC! (It's called "The Horse Fair" if you are interested in looking it up.) I'm glad you tried some bagels. Unfortunately though, rainbow bagels and crazy-flavored cream cheeses are just for the looks... Come to NJ, and get yourself a Taylor ham egg and cheese on one of our bagels... Now THAT'S the stuff! Though I am a simple person; I just get a plain cinnamon raisin bagel... Get one fresh, and it needs nothing on it. 😄

Years ago I collected Kool Aide Points and got a plastic Kool Aide Pitcher with 4 Kool Aide Cups. I loved it. 👏❤️

I would be like that kid that was running over the floor piano. I would so do The Office Build a Bear. My sister and her family went to NY at Christmas and ice skated at Rockefeller ice rink. They loved it. St Patrick’s Cathedral is beautiful. Wow! That is so interesting about the Choir school. I wouldn’t want my 8 year old to live away home. Your bagel looked so good! Great D5!! Hi Tami and Kevin l love the toy store. I would definitely love to go in there and spend some money for my Grandson. Very Beautiful Church.
