I went to a mobile food pantry this weekend. Anyone can go and it’s free. You drive through and they didn’t even ask for a name. They started at 9am and when I got there at 9:30 it was just the volunteers and they insisted on giving me 2 portions even though I told them one because they had so much left. Maybe they didn’t advertise it very well but I was absolutely amazed at my luck. I called my aunt and uncle to go along also because they said to tell everyone I knew that might need it. I got 6 packages of precooked bacon, which is about equivalent to 18lbs of raw bacon, 20lbs of potatoes, 8 boxes of cereal, 8 cans of corn, 8 cans of green beans, 4 boxes of cookies, 4 boxes of spaghetti, 4 boxes of stuffing, 24 orange drinks, 48 cans of diet soda, and 8 cans of soup. My aunt was so happy about the bacon and I’ve had BLTs for lunch for the last couple days! I probably wouldn’t have gone if I didn’t watch your videos and makingendsmeet. It will be such a help for the next couple months, and they needed more people to come! I don’t know what they do if they don’t give it all away.
