The indirect fire shelters have enough HP to resist an artillery barrage. It would take an entire 9 man squad like 5 minutes to dig it down. It's not funny and this guy is griefing the game by abusing map asymmetry
@@thecanadiankiwibirb4512This still doesn't excuse a team not seeing the enemy literally blocking the bridges. If anything, this should've been easily dealt with before the walls were completed.
Ive found that building bridge superfobs is a great way to annoy and troll the enemy team They never know what to do when you roll up to their BTR and just build a base out of thin air
@@djyppo I think Caesar also built a wall around an enemy walled city, then heard enemy reinforcements were coming, so he built a wall around the wall that was around the walled city. Caesar: "Yo dawg..."
I'd recommend double stacked sandbags instead of hasco blocks. It's 50 for hasco blocks, and 50 for double stack sandbags that are 2x the width. Plus, a halfway dug hasco block can be driven over (its flat laying on ground). Double stack sandbags can't be driven over at various stages: the top sandbag would need to be completely removed, even stakes, for a vehicle to drive over. This is especially useful on Basrah for insurgents, because their sandbags are 10.
As someone who doesn't like using explosives when I don't have to, building emplacements on supply lines and generally forcing the enemy to divert their attention becomes the superior way to win a combat scenario. Works both in video games and in real life.
That's exactly why I can't find the energy to get into games like these. I just know the servers are filled with super obsessive types that spend all day whining about people not following the rules or trying to kick new players. With that kind of attitude they'd be better off playing with model trains alone in their room.
@zenkoz3158 not everyones like that. ive ran into multiple chill ass squad leads and some that are atrocious. when i squad lead im open to all ideas and love trying out some new shit that some of the randoms i run into along the way come up with. its made some of the best games in squad. dont let some milsim bro keep you away from a great game that has brought me alot of fun, laughter, memes and thats with randoms not my friends. its true a squad lead can make or break your game experience but theres always good/bad apples. definitely give it a go i highly recommend. they also have "new player friendly" servers.
@@zenkoz3158me too. my ingame username used to be "nigiri" (a type of sushi i like). I got banned off 2 servers for my username because they deemed it "racist". after that and some other acoustic people i met in the game i just stopped playing
@@zenkoz3158 There's some rules that are needed (SLs must have comms, no locked 2 man except vehicle, no solo vehicle, etc...) , but "You can't play like this" is just shitty rule.
Oh i do this in Battlebit on a regular basis. Hesco walls are highly effective at being roadblocks for bridges. Luckily, most players don’t know how to unbuild structures.
If only it had world/objects destruction... That's pretty much the main reason why I'm more into BF3:Reality Mod than squad. The arti drop leaving a wasteland where a forest had been and even the towns almost disappearing after a few arti drops just feels too good.
As someone who hasn't played or even seen this game played, I have no idea what was going on, but it looked like you guys were having fun, and congrats on winning.
Finally people realizing they can place static defenses and removing FOB afterwards. Wanted to make something like blocking off all the bridges on Narva since forever but never managed to have a fully enthusiastic squad.
squad and post scriptum are an amazing exercise in physiological warfare a field full of barbed wire and hedgehogs turns peoples brains off as well as the grating and lasting effect on logi/transport teams that 'gawd damn it i gotta go around" and after 40 minutes it wears them down into stupid mistakes
most tank can be turn amphibious since lot of them have protection against gas warfare and nuclear fallout you just need to somehow make the air intake be above water
@@aoki6332 That's not fully "swimming", like say the AAV used by the US Marines can. That's more wading. Every modern tank can ford a river to various depths with setup. Only very specific vehicles can float, and even then some of those require a lot of setup. Like for example, the same US Marines LAV "can" float, but most crews don't like to because it takes time to seal everything up and even then with all the modern armor add-ons it's barely below the weight to do it successfully. Same is true if the Russian BMP series, in theory they can, in practice they shouldn't.
Any blocks or walls will stay(hesco, sandbags, etc). The only things that will despawn are Hab, ammo, and any emplacements (guns, gun bunkers, tows, etc)
Itd be cool if you explained what you guys were doing before the video or something so I knew what was so weird about your strategy, Ive never played this game, but its fun to watch you lol.
One of my all time favorite strategies is blocking the bridges on this map, especially if BLUFOR is on the other side of the river, since their stuff can't swim generally
Actually, there WERE swimming tanks in WWII, with both snorkel kits for river-crossing and full-fledged duplex drive for amphibious assaults. Dunno if any still exist outside museums, though.
I actually remember seeing an old video of a Russian tank crew being stopped by a deep river, so naturally they don their rebreathers and drive the tank underwater to the other side. Basically turned their tank into a submersible/submarine. I can't remember how they were stopped the engine from hydro locking immediately.
@natyr707 I'm not sure. I don't think I've seen a video or read anything on turbine tanks doing snorkel or amphibian crossings. Not saying it isn't possible, just that I haven't come across info or video on it
there use to be some maps in world of tanks you could do this for and as a defender it let you win without fighting. they not only changed all the maps to allow a water crossing but also made it possible to push dead tanks out of the way.
@@opie1960 I am guessing that since there is a limit to towers they dig the radio up and place another. There must not be a check for existing towers so they can build more.
