Would probably depend on the network that would have picked it up instead. Acording to Dana, the other networks she aplied to wanted to make it a sort of 11-minute-per-episode comedy based show, becouse that was what networks like Cartoon Network where aiming for at the time. Had it been HBO Max, we probably wouldn't be able to watch it and had never gotten past season 2, if at all, judging by HBO Max recently removing a bunch of shows like Invinity Train from their streaming service and canceling them sometimes even before they start. And if it where picked up as an adult swim show, it would probably be way cruder with a bunch of sex and alkohol jokes, like the most "popular" adult cartoons. (Becouse aparantly "adult" automaticly means crude, sexual and objectively ugly.) For it to actually turn out more like a horror show, as seemed to have been the beta design for the show, I think the show would have had to be picked up by a smal indy studio, like Spindle Horse. Something that is more open to experiment and that doesn't have an established brand yet. But who knows if the funding would have been there to produce 3 seasons with a regular release date structure that doesn't has it's fans waiting months for 1 episode. Crunchy Role or Netflix could have been another option. But originals from both are....hit or miss, to say it kindly. With really poor funding and comercial managment a lot of the time. So yeaaahhhh, probs wouldn't have been the best option xD
@@Valvexzu. it sure is. Heluva Boss has the "advantage" if having the indi studio Spindel Horse behind them, so they actually got some resources. But despite those resources, we only get 1 episode per month, if at all. (Which some people are okay with, and others aren't.) Since I'm from germany, I actually know a RU-vid original show that managed to have weekly uploads and 3 seasons despite not having a studio attached to it, and only a hand full of employees. That beeing "Tubeclash". But the animation quality, while not beeing bad by a long shot, was "simple" and somewhat "stiff", so probably not the type of quality people want from their animated show now a days 🤔 So I gues TLDR is, it wouldn't be impossible, but a LOT of work that would eather sap away quality or quantity
This is made all the more brutal by the fact that in the actual show Hunter REALLY DID try to drown himself. Admittedly for different reasons, but still-
The saddest part is in the extended version of the scene before he tried to drown himself, he smiled at his found family because he thought he would never see them again

I was NOT expecting hunter to almost DROWN himself, but it's still a lovely animation. I also Like how when willow was rushing to save him, there was a painting that said "yeah go save your boy!"
I think one of the reasons this hurts so much is the fact that almost everything in this video IS cannon or very closely aligns with strongly hinted at themes in the show,.
The worse part he already tried to dig his own grave while this is a "kids" show.. I'm scrared that what would he have done to himself if this wasn't a "kids" show-
God I loved every little thing about this animatic. That beginning segment had me on the verge of tears, Hunter deserves so much better. The end of this had me crying tho jdfhg I am so happy he's okay, the healing will take time but with the right people I'm sure he can do this
Let's all be honest, Hunter has been though hell. The dude needs help and more importantly love. He is low-key my favorite character and he probably makes me cry the most. I don't know what he will do in the human realm, but if he has the chance to go back to the Boiling Isles, do you think he would?
That's amazing! I wasn't expecting that he is trying to commit suicide cause of PTSD. I'm glad that Willow came and save him. This is shows how much she care about Hunter. He deserves a lot of support and hugs.

Nah because this was beautiful and amazing and I love hunter so much his character development was out of this world like Amity's and Lilith probably couldn't top this like there character development was great but gods hunters to me was phenomenal I thought he was gonna be a hated person but in the end became a loving person that we must protect but love this to beautiful huntlow is cuuuute

the fact that hunter would've grown up in an environment where he was taught to lie his way out of his problems and pretend they don't exist. Edit: I just realized that Belos did actually cover up his problems by making a clone of his dead brother to ignore the fact he killed him...oops.

Currently crying real tears oh my god I did not expect to cry over an owl house animatic but this is just so amazing!!! The ending had me sitting in my bed, hands over my mouth, eyes wide open in suspense. This was awesome
this is one of the best animations i have seen. the music fits so well and i believe this could absolutley believe this to be canon if it wasnt a disney cartoon. i think its such a cool way to put in his scars origin story and show how horrible belos was to him
Christ, this animatic made me sob. It was fine until the end. I love hunter, and I feel like it’d be a better show if it weren’t made for kids. Sure, it’s great, but I like the darker theme that this animatic gives. Great job!
This is amazing! During the end I almost had a mini panick attack, one of the best animatics I have ever seen! But seriously, I have seen comments pointing it out and I agree, if the show wasn't for kids....well... But, for what I am scared..., knowing the Owl house.....they can pull a suicide attempt, now that it's ending..But, while it could be interesting if they do it, I seriously hope they don't 😅. This is so good! Although I feel like there was a missed opportunity for the section with the parents denying their daughter's existence. Like having Belos erasing the old golden guards from history and gaslighting Hunter and everyone else.

I’ve watched all of your videos, and personally this touched me. By the way, you have beautiful art and I love supporting Owl House channels :) Hunter being my favorite character, this is heartbreaking. I know I’m late but I just love the little details in this, cause I like how the song didn’t finish cause I would always imagine that when the song ended it’s like done they drowned but the way it didn’t finish because Hunter is still alive, AWESOME. DUDE OMG this is just so wow?? I thought it ended at the middle and was so exited to find out there was more this must've taken so much time and its paid off this is phenomenal i actually cried tears during this uhh okay gotta gather my thoughts somewhat the begining when he sneaked into belos' room i was so scared for him cause i knew what was coming next and wow your belos is terrifying btw also love that you added how the boat hunter broke was given to belos by caleb just there's some meaning there lol the little swish of belos monsters hair was nice and you draw the collecter so cool?? Also loved that their face was blank idk why but it just adds something more to it and when he was going through the portals the light just flowing around like soft petalss so prettyyy the frame of all the golden guards standing in line..just chills and his whole nightmare sequence the previous golden guards' hands reaching towards him and caleb's face?? My heart freaking stopped it was haunting even though i was genuinely horrified at what was happening i still thought the way you drew the water falling from pipe onto hunter's hair was so soothing to look at and when i tell you i was terrified i was terrified i did not think this animatic was gonna go this way also i love how flapjack is fully coloured it just feels important to the story somehow and the frame of him in the bathtub just horrifying but so beautiful it reminded me of ophelia from hamlet and it hurts how hunter thinks his friends will react we know it isnt true at all we see it but just i know what its like feeling that way and i love that you added that god willow must've been so scared i swear at the end i was chanting dont close your dont close your eyes and when the screen went black i thought he did and when i tell you i lost it and then i saw the end card and was sobbing out of relief just wow this is beautiful thank you for this
