Indeed, this is my hidden gem this season.

I love the art style, and the part that hooked me is him being Mute and Deaf.. Him having such a disadvantage and regardless he fights through his tears and tries his best to be king.

I've never wept, cheered, grimaced, smiled and revered while watching a show like this in quite a long time. I want nothing more than to see Boji succeed

Every time anyone gives Boji encouragement I cry.

Honestly I came in watching this show with low expectations right when I saw the ep title referencing the Emperor's New Clothes, and thought that every episode will have a reference to some King, Leader or emperor theme story/folktale with lessons and meaning behind it, but it did not come across like that it felt very warm and not trying to be pretentious with inserting stories/topics we've already seen, I left this episode crying for some reason not because it was sad at the end, it was sad but the end felt like a shounen protaonists fighting againsts what everyone said was impossible. This probably might be one of my Top 5, despite having only seen 1 episode I felt like Ive been satisfied to the point that I dont want anything and want it at the same time(But I do want more)

I am pretty sure that this anime will become a instant classic with it's beautiful animation, excellent and depp characters and that with a tragic but so heart warming story. It is just impressive what this anime can express with a mute and deaf protagonist. Prince Boji for the throne.

I can relate to this boy. So many childhood memories coming back to me. Being alone, because I was different from other kids, I'm pale, big round eyes, curly dark hair and can't speak well. My father passed away when I was 10 (He also looks like a giant, his 6'7 bearded Australian 🇦🇺)I was left under the wing of my step mother, had to skip school because of bullies. Playing alone at our old garden and I had to hide and cry alone...and so many more.. I'm all grown up now, I'm a 32 years old strong man! Thank you, Bojji! Keep fighting! i love it when anime just comes out of nowhere with a simplistic style and then just hits you right in the chest with its awesomeness, i cant word it any better, this anime is awesome.

The moment I heard the intro I was like KING GNU !!! It's so recognisable If you like this song and for some reason haven't heard hakijutsu yet , do give it a try. Also this anime is hella underrated. None of my friends even know it exists.

such a beautiful and inspiring show,, and as someone said below,, love the "fighting againsts what everyone said was impossible." honestly inspires me to restore my 1974 Datsun 220C thats been standing for over 10 years and was already starting to rust a lot before then... to do the impossible and make it rust free one day, despite how 1-2 people have said it's impossible. this intro and show inspires me to not give up on my historic car baby.
