I hope you had fun with that traction engine! Its sad to say goodbye but that leaves room for more toys. I would love to have something of that scale but I will have to get rid of couple other hobbies. Mainly vintage motorcycles but at least I can work on them with no special tools. No electronics on any of them.
Sorry to hear you sold the showman. I really liked that machine. Looking forward to seeing what and if you replace it with something else? As we get older we get wiser, mostly! I restored old VWs for a while. Finally got to a point I just couldn't get under them to do the necessary maintenance. So I down sized as it appears you are doing. Hang in there Mr. Appleton and keep on doing what you love. Looking forward to the next engine repair as I enjoy those the most of what you do! Till then be safe and take it easy. ( And if it's easy Keith take it twice!)
Didn’t you feel sad about giving up on the large showman’s engine? No matter how logical the decision to sell might be, there’s always a certain attachment I guess. I would be, anyway. But, as you say, life goes on, and it makes room for other things
