Whenever another one of these sample libraries from the Abby Road Orchestra series comes out, I always get so exited. The idea that we are now going to have a full orchestra recorded in such high detail at our finger tips is absolutely amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing what the next one will be (my prediction is that it will be Tuned Percussion). I had some thoughts on some things I really hope will be featured in the upcoming sample libraries. First off, I believe it would be incredibly useful, once you get to the brass, to have trombone bending gliss legatos, as well as legato patches for every articulation (except for the short notes) of every instrument that would have legato note transitions. It would be incredibly useful to have muted legato patches as well as legato flutters, trills, and tremolos. Another thing that would be useful to have would be every note distance recorded for the trills, so there would not only be the usual major and minor 2nd trills, but also major and minor 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th trills. Also things such as, rips, falls, and runs for every instrument capable of making those sounds would likely be highly desired. I'm sure many of these things have been planned already, but whatever happens with the upcoming sample libraries, I'm sure it will be great! Keep up the good work! P.S. When you get to the woodwinds, please include saxophones! 🥺

For one thing, only the legatos respond to the pitch wheel, and even they have a set bend range. Every patch should be able to be set to anything from zero to 12 steps. In the 90s, we took that for granted. Why are electronic instruments devolving, omitting what used to be standard features? Second, the global tune should take numerical entry. It has a +/- 3 octave range, which is great. But setting it to a specific value, such as exactly one or two octaves, with the mouse is a real exercise in frustration.

@@gregorypara I agree. It would be nice to hear it from Spitfire though. It highlights the problem of buying these modular open ended packages. You don’t know what you’re getting into until you’ve plowed too much money into it. I’m adopting a wait and see mentality for spitfire going forward.

Business-wise, I don't think they will add such a library. Otherwise, their flaghsip (upcoming) Abbey Road Strings would have less marketable success if such feature is added to the orchestral foundation.

@@Thimid they could have released legato high strings without impacting their business model. Given that they’re almost 1500 in, and haven’t got through percussion yet, I think it’s safe to say that the two products are aimed at entirely different markets. At least to the point where it wouldn’t impact their profits. AROF is to this new library as Albion one is to symphonic orchestra.

Hiya, I don’t know who can see this but if you do another composition competition again this year, PLEASE can you have categories that people can put themselves in? It’s really obvious you just pick the pros - no hate - but they already have their head start, or a full on career and an awesome collection of your products. Last year Kris was talking about going through the winner’s site and knowing he should win, how does that make sense that should not be allowed! Up and coming composers or amateurs with potential who can really SOAR using your collection would benefit from it so much more! You could be kick starting the careers of extraordinary hidden talent. Please consider categories to make it fair and purposeful!

Great to have a good selection of metal perc, but would be better one day to have a big Paiste/Swiss tam-tam sampled as none of the existing Spitfire libraries have any big (40”+) ones, and they have a very different sound and use possibilities.

I appreciate the ringing out of the gorgeous space, but how would I adjust my mix so that it feels less like these were recorded in an empty cave? Just bringing in more defined mics and lowering the more reverberant ones doesn't quite feel the same as an instrument bring struck in a room with other bodies dampening the sound.

Congratulations on another Abbey Road Orchestra release. If the current versions of Abbey Road Orchestra are the “Pro” versions, would it be possible to release some “Core” versions as well? Fewer mic-signals and at a cheaper price… I love the sound of all three Abbey Road Orchestra libraries, and I would love to use them alongside ARO - I just DO NOT need all those mic-signals, and the price is way too high. But congratulations again…, and please release more Film Scoring Selections. We need some better high strings, and a harp would be great as well.

I bought the first abbey road product at launch thinking the legatos were gonna be right around the corner, 15 and a half year later I'm still waiting patiently. At this point I wouldnt be suprised if Abbey Road Orchestra: Bagpipes and Abbey Road Orchestra: Double Reversed Pads are gonna be the next thing Paul is gonna be very excited to introduce. I'm just fed up honestly

I wish you guys did trials for these. So many i want to try out and i can't at all justify spending into the thousands for something i have no idea what to really expect. Hands on experience makes all the difference and not having that immediately tirns me away from all of your products. Think of the small guys too please. Nobody ever does and its a bit demoralizing.

I feel all of these companies that do VSTs and plugins should always offer trials because nobody, especially in the current world wants to spend hundreds of dollars to find out it's not what you wanted.

I agree....their UI needs an upgrade and some of the libraries like bbcso core need an update and brass needs a full rework and I don't see why bbcso core owners can't have solo strings without having to sit through a massive download for mic positions. I'm sure other libraries other than bbcso need updates too.

$2000 in total for a percussion library is what got me mad… This will be cymbals and the next one will be tuned percussions and they’ll cost another $500 each

@@AeonGreyh That's why HOOPUS was the best deal for me. And now Musio with a lifetime license to *all* of CineSamples's products for only half a grand. Literally all present and future products and then some. I'm chilling with the perpetual free trial, but they might remove that soon. Frankly, all you need is a bread-and-butter orchesteal library like HOOPUS plus a dedicated solo library for brass, winds, and strings, then you're set. I'm prioritizing solo and chamber strings for now though; lots of Spitfire's products don't nearly match other cheaper products with better overall content.

When these big modules started coming out I was like "okay, they're for a totally different audience that can afford to drop $2k on just a percussion section, it doesn't mean they're done with Abbey Road One." Now I'm kinda losing hope that they'll ever finish what they started. I'm just not interested in these massive, bloated "kitchen sink" libraries.
