Showcasing how there’s more to Modern SpongeBob than just Wacky Faces & References NOT FOR KIDS 13+ DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT RU-vid….. PUSSY COCK #SpongeBob #Nickelodeon #outofcontext
SpongeBob has seen a bunch of shit and is also the same Spongle who fully acknowledges living through 3+ eternities unfazed: *Even the whole "Longer then you think" is not enough to cease that yellow thing's boundless will.*
2:55 i dont care for modern spongebobs over-exaggerated expressions but that cut of mr krabs just lurching at plankton and cutting away is just so funny to me
Dude they overuse their jokes now. The my leg was funny the first few times but not anymore. They also threw away some of the characters personalities entirely like SpongeBob or bubble bass. SpongeBob used to be pretty competent and bubble bass was supposed to be the angry customer.
@@ezequielquintana1835 Imo season 10 and 11 are a bit worse than 9B (a lot better than the complete 9th season though) but season 12 is my favorite season post first movie.
@jazz0_0z **turns into some sort of giant robotic monstrosity and literally devours a nurse right in front of SpongeBob while he’s just sitting their like :D**
You're not alone! As much as I love the first three seasons, I'm a big advocate for the Post-Sequel Era and think that it's been some of the highest quality SpongeBob since Seasons 1-3 and some episodes from Seasons 4-5.
The Legendary Color Fixer titled The Red Mist from the Backstreets of District 23. She was renowned throughout the City for her immense strength and her sense of justice as a protector of the weak.
1:38 I like the the fact Patrick is also disturbed by all of this Edit: wow I can’t believe that this comment resonated with this many people I can’t believe it.
There was an episode where Squidward threatened to call a certain number to could lead Mr. Krabs into a fine of sorts and being the cheapskate Mr. Krabs is he goes through with Squidwards demands one of them being popping barnacles off his back, I think this was a callback to that episode
Seeing a montage of squidward getting rhinoplasties is not something I thought I would see in SpongeBob, and yet somehow, not surprising, considering how chaotic this show can get
The one thing I don't like about the new art style is that there's barely any shading like there used to be anymore. The shading/colors of the characters never change according to the time of day/lighting it is
Ya, shows like Invader Zim, Wonder pets, Bear in the Big blue house, all have amazing older looks for the characters. I prefer the older style and colors of everything it made the atmosphere feel more natural rather then having everything so bright and colorful
I will say this: It does beat everything being extremely stiff in the seasons 6, 7, and 8 era. But you're right in that nothing will beat Season 1 in shading.
1:00 I never got why this scene feels so wrong... But I think I got it. Usually in situations like this, Sponge Bob would be distracted, completely oblivious to whoever is suffering. But in here he's just watching, almost enjoying the carnage in front of him with a soulless stare.... Couldn't he be distracted by a funny poster or something?
My guess is that he is distracted by unconditional parental love, exaggerated to the extreme. But still, I agree that he should show more emotion than that, he should have a slightly concerned face and say something like " it's ok, It's ok, you is a bit grumpy today huh? ".
In the actual context, SpongeBob immediately corrects himself after saying “Aww” and screams in terror, showing he is actually very much aware of the danger
A lot of these are genuinely funny but it's still disheartening that Spongebob himself lacks the charm he used too. He's not just childish here but also a dangerously oblivious nutcase. Spongebob could be naive and childlike (emphasis on LIKE) but with tons of moments that showed that he was decently well adjusted in most other aspects. Nowadays he's just as idiotic as Patrick.
In the bubble buddy episode of the classic seasons he left a guy to drown, and in the seahorse episode he let an old man get swallowed up, so it's not like there isn't precedent for him being dangerously naive to the point he gets people killed.
@@genyakozlov1316 In his defense Bubble Buddy was sentient and chose to let that guy drown. My main point is that Spongebob's naivete had a pretty standard limit and he'd be quick to realize when he made a mistake or had been manipulated. "You used me... FOR LAND DEVELOPMENT!!!", or getting mad at Krabs for forcing Squidward to live with him for petty reasons. In most modern episodes Spongebob breezes through without really knowing what's going on.
@@Dalton_Boardman2000but let's not forget that Spongebob realized that AFTER everyone left and it took him who-knows-how-long of getting bossed around by Squidward before finally breaks. Plus, Spongebob had been deathly oblivious an entire episode before, like that one time where he and Patrick went to a prison passenger ship instead of his camping passenger ship, and he didn't notice it until his camp counsellor says he's missing Spongebob to the prison warden. Also the Commercial episode when the whole crowd are angry and clearly wants a krabby patty, yet he's just lollygagging around and do everything but cooking patties
@@Dalton_Boardman2000I recommend "Ride, Patrick, Ride". It's probably my favourite example of modern spongebob's character. He's smart and willing to find ways to help, and although he does cause trouble due to his naivety, he doesn't mean to harm anyone.
You know, I may not like this era as much as the older eras, but I've gotta admit that I actually really like the current animation style and how expressive it is.
0:23 I totally relate to that face that Spongebob makes sometimes XD lol. Haha, I love this era of SB as I still love the show in general no matter what😆
The fact that larry’s eyes have changed at 0:32 makes me think he’s actually in hell seeing some shit happening there while he isn’t really looking at the art for some reason ._.
Ok but the Squidward meeting his real voice actor and them screaming in tandem is comic gold and honestly is one of the few jokes that feels like something from the old episodes.
Wow man, the contrast between this and the original episodes is so severe it might as well be called an entire different show. I wouldn’t be surprised if kids get really confused when they see these episodes, then an old episode airs and wonder why it looks so different and everybody especially acts different. Can’t wait for this to finally end. It’s just a shell of how I knew it growing up and I find it depressing.
Couldn’t agree with you more; by comparison, old SpongeBob was the GOAT, but this!? *THIS* steaming pile of dog turds!? This looks like someone trying way too hard to make SpongeBob the next Ren & Stimpy.
