I really liked seeing how you responded to a comment. Idk if it's gonna be a thing now. But I would like it. One of the reasons I keep watching this channel and everything it produces is because once you liked/responded to one of my comments. It might sound lame, but it reinforces the relationship and makes a moment of "I love you too, random citizen".

I like the "Everyone chill out its just best of 1 bit" I would also add, almost anything can make it to mythic in a season, it takes 50.1% winrate and time. I value playing something I have fun playing that does "okay" over piloting a deck that I am bored out of my mind with. Richard Garfield gifted us a standard of over 3,000 cards, get weird with it, or don't and play what you think is the optimum deck if that is how you have fun, but by gods check to make sure you ARE having fun.

I was playing that gruul terror deck, great playing against you. If you arent terrible and remember the timing window for the horse it does 19 effect damage to face before attacks, but uhhhhh i was really high ....

Izzet has always been one of my fav color combos, but I kinda wish it could go back to the more wacky yet controlly burn stuff and actually be good. I'm thinking stuff like Goblin Test Pilot, Niv Parun, Thousand Year Storm, stuff like that

Have you done much with standard Ninjutsu? I'm running a 32 creature Ninjas Dimir (splash 3 spring-leafs), and got it from bronze to 90% mythic. I definitely enjoy when it does the thing. :) It cycles out in a couple months, but it is hilariously fun, and it got me all the way up the ladder in a month. Thanks!

Adding 2 power every time you cast a spell versus paying two mana for pumping one defense, you have really evolved your bird watching game over the years.

I find ranked and standard events are similar in terms of what the meta offers. Testing a deck can be done in either and the difference is ranked is free while the event costs resources. The potential gain from each depends on what you want out of your time playing. I personally play ranked for the end-of-season packs and gold, then complete daily's to pay for the standard event to accumulate gems in order to pay for the pass. Rinse and repeat. In my opinion; both are challenging and offer adequate deck testing.

If you don't win more than 50% of your games, you cannot proceed to diamond or mythic rank - but you can get to platinum. I haven't been really trying for high win rate for a year and have it around 30% now. However, I get to "do the thing" with lots of jank and scoop to every turn one Minion of the Mighty (there's A LOT of it in Historic, now that Geist scam is banned). Only thing is if you keep losing and losing to scam and mono red, it's tempting to go scorched earth and play Minion of the Mighty yourself for daily wins and glory. Sure, it stings a little when the stats come in after the season is over (games played vs. games won). But you have to ask yourself what you play this game for. There's so much randomness, it's not always a proper competition. So it's "doing the thing" with different decks, flavor or art (which is hit or miss nowadays - looking at you, Breaking News supplemental set). It sure is nice outsmarting your opponent, but Magic is no chess.

I bet they tried real hard to make that combo work once, and the one time they get the pieces on board and a chance his opponent leaves before he could do the thing XD

Re: it being an event. One thing I like about this is that we know for sure you aren’t cherry picking games where your “thing” works out. I assume most content creators don’t cherry pick because it’s deceptive, but now we know for sure you aren’t. I wasted a bunch of wildcards to craft a RU-vid deck once and it turned out I never drew the one card I needed in actual play, so I appreciate you doing an event so I know it’s a true sampling of games.

Personally, I believe win rate matters, because it will help you gain extra packs etc and if you can't afford to throw massive amounts into pack purchase, then that's a good thing. However, I wholly concur that it doesn't matter as much as fun. This isn't a job we're doing - if we're not having fun at a hobby why are we doing it?

Slickshot show off is a slippery slope of a printed card. It’s a card that removes player agency and gives non-games. It’s the type of card that destroyed hearthstone. A card that can otk and not be interacted with by the opponent. Plot is a great mechanic. A free haste flying scaling unit, that’s played from exile. Isn’t a great print. It goes against all the principles of magic and player interaction. If slick shot were played in anything mildly slower and control oriented, you can just hold slick shot t’il you have 20 damage from hand waiting on your opponent to tap out. Just focus on removing and accumulating the reach. It’s a very uninteractive playstyle,

its a game.. nothing realy matters here, not your winrate, not your rank. its actually wasting your time for the most of it. the only thing you can get from it is fun and distraction, every other goal in this game could be considered delusional behavior. you are not earning anything, no respect, no attention, no money, no nothing. ppl should realy stop forcing themself to be effective, efficent and winning at everything they touch. thats not healthy at all.
