I have the M1 macbook Air and really love it. It is my first Mac and I am really enjoying getting to grips with Mac OS.

I have always been a Windows/PC person.. and Android for phones. The more I learn though I am starting to realize that Apple/Mac may have more accessibly features that could be useful and important for our future here. Nice to see a video like this. Thanks. =)

Hey there. Actually I’m not sure whether it’s better as such, but we do video editing and for me I don’t think there’s any alternative that is access a ball and does the same thing. I love though that it is accessible out of the box and you don’t have to buy third-party software. Microsoft would say hang on a minute, we include narrator, but it’s nothing like as advanced and I really don’t like using it

I still have a 2011 MacBook Pro 17inch. A couple of years back I swapped out the hard drive for an SSD and upgraded the RAM. I am SSI and did the work myself by following RU-vid tutorials. Works very fast loads incredibly quickly and best of all, it still works a treat.

Yes that’s excellent. I did the same with a 20 1113 inch MacBook Pro back in 2014. I’m Fortuny in that case the logic board went three months later :-) that said a very fast SSD and I’d say probably 16 GB of RAM will see you sweet. It does depend what you were doing with it though. That will be fine for anything up to you I would say realist me 1080p video projects, and any productivity whatsoever you wouldn’t notice the difference between that and a new one. Anything from I think 2013 onwards cannot be use upgraded other than the SSD there I’m not sure you can upgrade that in the current models Great bit of kit.

Great video. Try using a long key to open cellophane when there's a gap like that. Its hit and miss but it can cut down on hospital visits.

Kinda funny, even though I have sight, it still takes me FOREVER to start up a new laptop! lol I need at least a whole day...

This is, asked to be said pretty decent. Also I will say that I think you can do a new Windows PC using the rater which is sufficient to set the system up though I wouldn’t like to use narrator for anything meaty

Apart from the music which I found irritating as I couldn’t clearly hear what the MacBook was saying that was a brilliant video. Personally I’m sticking with my iPad and iPhone as I’m just learning to use voiceover (considering upgrading them at some point as I’ve had the iPad for nearly 4 years and my current iPhone for 18 months but currently they both work well for me). It’s good to see I could use my new one straight from the box no problem once I’m used to voiceover.

Sorry the music was irritating. You wouldn’t really have heard what the confuse were saying very much anyway as when I listened back to it, I probably should have turned up the volume or stuck a specific microphone on it Will try to bear in mind the music thing, there at the time I was concerned that there was too much of me tapping the keyboard doing not very much. Thanks for stopping by always and supporting it :-) we really appreciate it

@@seaninherts oh it’s always good to find out more about the tech and how accessible it is. Especially as currently I’m at the cusp of voiceover becoming essential and I’m struggling to navigate and learn the gestures to access my tech as effortlessly as those of you with black belt ninja voiceover skills. I feel like I’m trapped in a maze with only blind alleys (pun unintended)

@@lynnenicholson6968 A couple of things I would recommend to you, firstly make sure that you know about Windows screen readers as well, but if you do consider a Mac, you can get free lessons from Apple in normal times when stores are open where they can give you instruction and how to use it. There’s a good get start tutorial built into them, and you might find it an iPhone is a good starting point as lots of the gestures on the trackpad when you use those are the same.
