Live Broadcast: April 22, 2021
Presented by: Susan Donnelly, Genealogist of the Newbury Street Press
For many living in New England during the 17th through 20th centuries, their livelihood and even survival was inextricably linked to the sea. In this webinar genealogist Susan Donnelly will provide a brief history of mariners in New England, discuss major ports and sources of industry (especially fishing, shipbuilding, whaling, trade, the US Coast Guard and Merchant Marines), she will highlight some key records and repositories for reconstructing your ancestor’s life on the sea and along the shore.

I found the webinar very informative and I will probably watch it again. I have ancestors on both sides of my family tree that this will help me to research for more information.
