EXACTLY! When I saw the boat doing that, I assumed he was going to demonstrate how a hydrofoil could solve that problem... But then I slowly realized that he was doing that on PURPOSE!
I was looking for something to reduct porpoising on a 14' aluminum boat with a 25 hp outboard. I moved weight forward and trimmed it to keep the bow down but now I have the tilt angle set to maximum forward angle and that prevents much upward trim when I go into shallow water. I was listening to learn the reason you wanted to make your boat to do those "bunny hops?"
Question: The classic stingray hydrofoil is flat in nature. They also offer XRlll in which is more round or curved. Which would be best for towing tubes and wake boards?
I don’t think it will affect the wake too much. The new curved one seems like it would definitely be smoother and possibly help to create a smoother wake. Either one will greatly increase stability and you will feel a more stable and smoother steering while towing a tube or wakeboards.
great video thank you. could you please tell me if hydrofoil would be beneficial for my 6hp 4stroke outboard? its on a 10ft inflatable dinghy. some say hydrofoils are only good for 10+ hp outboads anything smaller is a waste of money and will slow down the boat.
Hello Crosshair, I don't think think it would be beneficial. You might lose a little top speed and it would make getting on plane harder. I would suggest placing all of your gear and fuel tank as far up to the bow as possible. Experiment with the angle of the trim possibly one pin higher may help. Thanks for watching!
sny foil on an ouybord says the engin was installed by an amerture.Outbored manufactures know a lot more than this guy. First look at transom angle, which the outboard manufactures forced boat builders to change from 12 to degres to 16 degrees in the 70s. It took many boat manufactures lots of years to comply. The foil will help, but introduce drag. Put a wedge on the transom so the cave plate looks up at the keel will give a much better result.
Bastian22 anything’s worth a shot but that’s a small motor. I wouldn’t waste the drag when you only have 2.5 hp. If you do put the smallest one you can find.
I would have to probably look into a whole different motor all together . We had a 20 horse power Johnson that was 30 years old and has been abused and still runs pretty well. You could get an old but decent motor for cheap. I wouldn’t do 2 percent ya too much to deal with if you ever have any problems.
Aún puede conducir el bote sin el hidroala, pero al igual que un automóvil, hay muchas mejoras beneficiosas para aumentar el rendimiento. ;) Gracias por el comentario mi amigo.
Jesus christ on a pogo stick, did you just find 4 bolts laying around your garage to install that with? Meh, these are all within 2 inches in length of each other, looks good enough from here.
Aftermarket and performance parts are just that aftermarket and performance just like cars the factory can make them fast but usually the aftermarket performance industry market items for performance.
If thats the case Mr.AB 6....then why does this product improve the performance???? I know I've used them for years on Mercury, Yamaha, Honda and Tohatsu outboards. If you have no experience, or knowledge then you should keep quiet and listen. Then you may learn something.
@@terrybeasley2898 again, if they are so great why don't they come from the factory with them? And you don't have to be such a condescending prick when you reply to someone. You must be fun at parties.
Mr. AB i was only trying to teach you a valuable lesson in life that you should learn and use. If you are ignorant of a subject then educate yourself. Your question was nevermind you wouldn't understand... It's a performance part. Why dont ford build 1200hp engines to put in there line of F150s??? Why? Why? Why? Why are you so ignorant?? Why dont TV manufacturers supply surround sond wit every TV sold???? It can go on and on you freaking IDIOT!!!!!
That girl in the picture, is she single? Or have a single sister? I'm a good guy. I'm covered in purple bruises, you know from girls touching me with a ten foot (3 meter) pole. I don't care because I think I'm handsome. She's a good artist
