OUTBREAK IN 2024?! - TEN TIPS TO HELP YOU SURVIVE ONLINE! 

A bit of an experiment as I start working on video content! Please let me know if there's any issues with the format! This was mostly to practice before I start doing scripted content! I hope it helps someone with my favorite game, Resident Evil Outbreak. Turn on captions if you need them, too!

The Legend Came Back. I been watching your old walkthrough of RE Outbreak 1 & 2 even due this day that are extremely helpful, i wasn't able to go online with Outbreak to join people who like this series as much as i do because I'm extremely busy to solve a lot of BS that is going on with my life however once i'm done with all of that shit I Will play RE Outbreak online for hours and introduce the series to other people. Intro 0:00 Tip 1 Wiggle Free 0:49 (at first i was struggling to to understand how it worked but over time i manage to mastered it to the point i puss away the zombie before even bite me) Tip 2 Killing Enemies Only Buys Time 1:59 (The Enemies that can come back i always try to avoid them that i will waste neither time ,ammo, etc.) Tip 3 The Tackle is Godly 2:59 (I never understood why Resident Evil Outbreak File 1 & 2 are the only RE games that has it and rest especially the new RE games don't have it) Tip 4 Resource Management 3:27 (nothing here to add here) Tip 5 Item Sets 4:32 (Okay this is something that i wasn't aware at all, i will keep that in mind when i decide to play online) Tip 6 The Camera 5:25 (If you're a Veteran with Tank Controls you will have no problem with the Camera, also to Note Pay attention to sounds around you, you never know how close the enemy is) Tip 7 Ablips and The Map 6:10 (I wasn't aware that you can see your teammates with Ablips from the map) Tip 8 Learn Your Character 7:15 (again nothing to add here) Tip 9 DO.NOT.PICK.YOKO. 7:44 (Yoko is one of the most difficult character to learn how to play because she get easily kill, i know from experience) Tip 10 Check Difficulty 8:53 (That the last thing that i want to do the first day that i will go online) Excellent Video FoxyAreku.

Capcom REALLY needs to bring this game to ALL current systems.

Man, I'm glad that you still do Outbreak videos after all these years. I watch your old Outbreak videos since 2011, when I stuck in some parts and you help me to pass. I returned to play the game in this year after many years and I confess that I don't play well like I played when I was more young. I will try finish at least in Hard mode again for play online. See ya.

Outbreak and File #2 will always be my favorites of the entire series. It really was ahead of its time, but sadly, it was completely overshadowed by RE4's market success, and it was pretty much left to die by Capcom. I still own both my original copies along with both strategy guides (which are quite in-depth). I'd love to get back into the online aspect if not for my crippling case of "Tech-Dumb." I recently got both games for emulation (since my PS2 and games are in storage), but single player is definitely the weaker game mode. For me, one of Outbreak's legacies is how I met some really awesome players (a few who would later become RU-vidrs, or at least release gameplay videos on YT) back when it first released on PS2. ;) My most-played characters? Cindy, George, Alyssa, and David. I tended to play Cindy or George online since I favor a support role, but as David I'd try to make weapons for others (if not myself) if I can get the parts, but more than anything I LOVED his knife combos and monkey wrench attacks. Hell, even his one-handed pistol aiming was just cool, and as a long-ago trained fencer in real life, I love that it narrows his outline (although it's questionable if his actual hit box is affected), even if it's not really good shooting form. Aside from David, I consider Alyssa a great self-sufficient "lone wolf" character since she's decent with firearms, can pick locks, and has a dodge.

This is a good starting point for those looking to play the game and have a fighting chance. I had to learn all by myself as a young teenager that there’s skill trees that go far beyond what’s presented here like canceling attacks in ways other than dodging and killing bosses or tough enemies with a knife for instance. One of my best friends has beaten many resident evil titles on the hardest difficulty and when I introduced this to him it made him rage quit because of how unfair it can be when playing by yourself. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Outbreak was truly ahead of its time and the pinnacle of traditional RE. Thank you for the tips since I notice part of the game’s difficulty is a lack of in-depth tutorial and throwing players into the slaughter to learn the hard way.

1:07 the first time i played the remake i remember instinctively mashing buttons to get the zombie off me… alas, this feature was completely removed.

I did NOT realize that pressing the aim button was what caused the fire animation to proc. XD True survival horror resource management: respawning enemies. Glad to see the one-two punch here. I'm curious, is Kevin's knock-down tackle only in 2 or is it in 1 as well? I can't recall. Ah man. I should've realized the head moves to see zombies. I didn't even realize. XD I also should've realized pretty early on that D-Pad is tank controls where analog stick is 3D controls. Honestly I should have realized that much sooner. That's an incredibly cool solution to the problem. I like that. Fatal Frame dealt with it in the first three games by having a dedicated run button that you could just tilt from side to side to change direction iirc. Genuinely the ad libbing function was one of the coolest fluff+practical things to ever be added to a game imo. Lmfao the David thing made me laugh hard. Honestly I didn't even realize Yoko Z could be like training wheels. I always just tried to get good at/with her normally. Thanks for the tips. I'm glad this came up on my recs. I don't remember why I never watched this the first time.

Question, why would someone play on a harder difficulty? Do you get better rewards or something?

I live in SEA region, will it have lag if I play with people from NA, EU, and/or JP players?

Is their a way to play outbreak without a ps2?

Will random online players get angry if I don't know what I'm doing even if I choose very easy? Considering how small of a community this is, I think I would rather play with the bad AI than toxic people.
