Outcast - A New Beginning - Combat Trailer 2023 

Couldn’t agree more. There are so many games out there, but few that really spark my interesst.

​@@PlanetAdelphaYeah, for me it's mostly the forced MTX and laziness of the AAA industry that puts me off, combined with the fact that a lot of companies are playing it way too safe when it comes to ideas and concepts, as investors often have them by the b***s. I'm still going to get Dragon's Dogma 2 and have been excited about it since it was announced in June, for example, but after seeing what looks like the simplification of builds and how the story will be handled, my interest has slipped slightly. I have no worries about Outcast 2, as the music will be amazing and this video along with the last one were so honest as to what we can expect when playing it, just as long as the frame rate is stable and glitches are ironed out as much as possible for release. Not groundbreaking but vast, rich, alien, immersive, memorable, complete, funny and hopefully it will introduce newcomers to the series so that they can experience the truly foreign feel of the planet and the acidic sarcasm of Cutter Slade.

Na ein bisschen albern darf unser Cutter ja sein, aber hier wurde bewusst so geschnitten, dass viel Humor und Leichtigkeit vorkommt. Cutter wird nicht alle 30 Sekunden einen Witz machen, keine Sorge 😇

THQN kündigt Release Datum üblicherweise sehr spät und kurz davor an. Statt mehrfach zu verschieben wird der Termin dann auch gehalten. Lange müsst ihr nicht mehr warten 😅

@@PlanetAdelpha Wir sind ja hier nicht bei Rockstar. Das GTA V Poster mit "Spring 2013" habe ich immer noch. Am Ende wurde es glaube ich November. 😁

@@PlanetAdelpha Ja. Bitte versteh mich nicht falsch. Mir geht es nicht darum, dass ich morgen das Spiel spielen kann. Ein Gepolisheds Spiel ist mir deutlich lieber als ein Bug oder Performance Katastrophe. Es gibt halt nur um eines. Um THQ Nordic herum hört man ständig Outcast 2 kommt im Jahr 2023 nun jetzt haben wir schon bald Ende November. Und das löst bei mir irgendetwas aus. Ich wäre ja durchaus zufrieden zu Erfahren das Spiel kommt im irgendwann im zweiten Quartal 2024 (nur als Beispiel). Ich bin halt in einen alter wo ich solche langen Spiele schon fast Vorplanen muss. Mir fällt es immer schwerer nach der Arbeit 2 bis 3 Stunden zu Spielen. Und auch an den Wochenenden habe ich gerade im Sommer besseres Zutun als Videospiele zu Spielen. Ein Wochenende im Winter Durchzocken das ist kein Problem wenn es nicht gerade in vor und zu Weihnachten ist. Denn bei den Wunderbaren Wetter will ich eh nicht raus. Und auch mein Drang in Winter in Clubs zu gehen geht bei mir ohne Grund (z.B FM4 Geburtstagsfest, ja ich Lebe auch in Österreich) gegen 0. Meine Jugend ist halt vorbei. Aber dafür kam ich in den "Genuss" Outcast 1 zu Release im Fenstermodus bei den niedrigsten Einstellungen mit ca 17 FPS zu spielen. Ach ja Outcast das Crisis des Jahres 1999. Und sagen wir es mal so. Outcast steht bei mir wirklich ganz weit oben in meiner To Play Liste und ich beginne gerade meine Urlaube zu Planen ich überlege echt mir 1 bis 2 Tage für das Spiel frei zu nehmen. Also lasst euch ruhig Zeit. Aber kommuniziert bitte etwas mehr als Bald Verfügbar auf Steam. Und bitte macht nicht den selben Fehler wie bei Elex 2. Also bitte kein Release gleichzeitig mit GTA ;) Elex 2 und Elden Ring das war eine Harte Entscheidung und seien wir mal ehrlich Elex 2 hätte aus vielen Gründen eine Verschiebung wirklich gut getan.

That is very nice of you to say. The official channel by THQ Nordic gets a lot more views with Trailers than I do. It is quite hard for a small creator and channel focusing one one topic - Outcast - exclusively. RU-vid algorithms are not fair...

I sure hope all of you will have fun playing it. Meeting expectations will be nearly impossible. You cant simply replicate Outcast 1 feeling. We all have seen so many games in those 24 years and we all had our Imaginations where Outcast 2 will go, so it will be very hard to meet this high Level...

@@PlanetAdelpha I'm sure it won't be perfect (making games is hard!) but it really seems like the devs put all they could into trying to make the sort of game we all imagined an Outcast 2 could be and that counts for a lot. Looking forward to playing it.

I can understand your concers. This Trailer has quite a different vibe than previous ones. I personally dont think playing the game feels like a marvel game. Especially the Talans, their dialog and interactions are quite unique as in the first game. I hope you'll still find enjoyment in the final product.

Nothing to do with Whedon. The dialogue more resembles the original game from 1999. I don't know if you know this but Whedon did not invent quips and sarcasm.

I agree, Cutter needs to have some 90s humor too, but it wont be jokes constantly, this is just a Trailer edit to create a specific fun vibe.

Well the sentences chosen are from all over the game to set a certain fun and easy going vibe for this particular Trailer. He wont joke all the time. And I personally think the new voice actor is great. He has the charisma.

The VO is good, resembles the original Cutter Slade... as long as they're not having these mid-action remarks constantly, just sparingly, it'll be fine.
