I agree with you 100% on this one! Came off orangey on me too. I thought the color was pretty dark on me though, not very "gradual" - I got lazy with the application because I was expecting Jergins level gradually and it came out streaky. Eh. I got it on clearance though so can't complain. I think they're discontinuing this.
I'm so sad I ordered this and got the same orange tone, but the smell is soooo good. When this pandemic is over I'm going to try to order the st tropez classic self tanner. It's a little pricey for an orange tone tho, does the classic give orange tones? I'm on a tight budget so I cant afford to try multiple types at once.
The last time I tried the St. Tropez Classic Self Tanner I was not in love with the formula. I would recommend trying the St. Tropez 3hr Express Tanner instead, or you can order Bondi Sands 1hr Express Tan (my current favorite) and it is $29 and can be found at Walgreens or you can order online! :) I am doing an entire break down of all the self tanners I own (this will include the St.Tropez Classic Self Tanner and the Bondi Sands 1hr Express Tan) so if you want to wait a week or so for that video before ordering I am going to show what color each self tanner will turn your skin and that way you will know which one to order! :)

I didnt use that particular one, but I did try out thier 3 hour Express one..i wasn't too excited about it. I love the sosu dripping gold its theee best you should review it!

Yeah I am not really into self tanners with a strong sent usually I can only tolerate ones that smell like coconuts ( I think it just reminds me of the beach lol) but St.Tropez's marshmallow scent intrigues me although I am sure I will get tired of the scent really fast lol
What’s your favorite gradual tan lotion? I’m looking for a good one with a nice coconut scent....like Bondi sands.....but I hate their “coconut” self tanner lotion
My favorite gradual tanning lotion is the Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Milk, but I personally don't like the smell, however, everyone always tells me it smells like coconuts and that they love it 😂 so idk if I just got a bad smelling batch or if I am very sensitivity to the DHA smell....unfortunately I have not found one that I think smells good yet but when I do I will let you know! :)
Try SkinnyTan. Their body glow lotion smells like vanilla coconut but once developed it smells like the fake tan smell. The colour is amazing too. It doesnt transfer to clothes or bedding. The problem is it doesnt last too long but it does wear off evenly. I haven't tried any of their other products other than both the light and medium body glow gradual lotion. X
