Hello! I feel like the Superstand is a bit warmer than this one. But this one breathes better and has stretch, which I really like. The Atom LT (at least the last one I owned) was very simular in warmth and breathability to the Shadow.
@@Engearment hell yeah! I just ordered the shadow based off this review. Along with the Ferrosi soft shell, an will midlayer with the Vigor hoodie as well. My KUIU Elements jacket isn’t very breathable, so being active even up here in Fairbanks, AK in -15° or minus I sweat a ton in the KUIU.
What would you think the upper bound on temp for this jacket would be? Like how hot outside (let's assume stationary/low movement) before it'd be overkill? I live in a warmish place, so I know the lower temp for it would be enough for the winter (based on what I've read), but not sure about upper. I kinda feel like the OR superstrand would be a better fit for me and see more days of the year, but I like the build quality on the shadow so much more.
I have worn this hoodie inside at temps around 65 F. It’s ridiculously comfortable. I do think the super strand will be warmer for static or slow movement though. Hope that helps!
Just got mine today. Pretty disappointed. The cuffs are enormous on the size Large. They fall down past my knuckles & just my finger tips stick out. I'm 5'10", long armed & barrel chested and it is huge on me. Every jacket and long sleeve I own is a large. This is bigger than some XLs and now I'm stuck with it b/c like an idiot I cut the tags off & ordered it from a store on the opposite coast. Last...those thumb loops are horrible. They're crazy thick. They're essentially just the SEAM.
