Just a local walk from my house, making a brew and chatting about mental health and the tools I use to manage it. If you're struggling, think about calling Samaritans on 116 123
Nothing better than to get out in the fresh air...let's one know there is a whole world outside your front door...thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on a subject that means a lot to me...
Grate video mate ,your work with the Samaritans is commendable I’m sure you have made a difference with that and now maybe with your videos ,for people that can’t get outside or lack the motivation to do so 👍
Hello sir, just found you via Adam's drone video. We did a #showusyourbrew too, such an important topic to discuss openly and yet something so many people struggle with. Hopefully videos like this can help. Well done for talking so openly and honestly, Kat did better at explain in ours. Reach out and talk, absolutely ❤ Nice to met you and share a brew with you, looking forward to following your channel, Ceri and Kat ❤☕👍☕
Thanks for taking the time to watch, Joanna. We all need a bit of help sometime, it's good to spread the word . If you feel you could do a #showusyourbrew clip that would be great x
Hi Mark, a really good video ..its always good to talk . I had two mates who are no longer with us through mental health ...thanks for sharing Mark ..cheers Stevie
Really great video-so shocking about the Falklands-I had no idea 😱 Must have been tough on the end of that Samaritans phone line-huge thanks and appreciation to you for being there for people 👍 Glad to hear the outdoors is your place-definitely my therapy too! Have subbed, ATB Karen
Thanks, Karen and thanks for taking the time to watch, its really appreciated. Although a difficult 3-4 years Samaritans was a fantastic time, I met some incredibly nice people and the thought of me helping hundreds if not thousands of people was very rewarding. I would recommend anyone to do it. I'm an ex- squaddie with a potty mouth but no one ever judged me. The outdoors is my haven, I am glad its yours too. Look after yourself.
Both my parents struggled with their mental health. My mum's was diagnosed and treated on and off throughout her life with medication. My dad on the other hand was 'old school' and would never admit it but I could tell. I've seen some recent YT-ers talk about it and to me seem insincere (probably because they have little experience of it) but you put it across well here Mark.
Thanks, Chris. I've dealt with it myself and I have helped others go through their own journey when I was a Samaritan. I've seen people struggle but I've seen many get through it. There are many things that help people get through it, the outdoors helps me. ATB, Mark 👍
Cheers Mark. Some very wise and heartfelt words there. I hope Colin is ok. Thank you for your support and thank you for selflessly giving your time to be a Samaritan ❤️. ATB Jiffy
Excellent video Mark and great experience for you to be able to talk about too. The world needs more people like you about. Too many ignore homeless and look the other way. And to be a samaritan has got to be one of the most mentally stressful jobs out there. My wife used to be a 111 call assistant and she used to get similar suicide calls, very hard job buddy, hats off to you 👍
Great video and very inspiring message Mark. Getting out definitely helps. I started walking daily when the first lockdown started last March and I’ve carried it on since and it’s definitely helped keep me positive. Tapton Park is a great area to walk by the way 👍
Thanks my friend.. I think it's important to be open about MH. Many people battle with it at some time and maybe someone watching this video, reading your comment will give the outdoors a try and benefit from it. ATB, Mark 👍
I started walking at the start of the March lockdown and kept it up. Problem being I’m in bloody Cornwall now. 350 miles from home. 😂 just a little light hearted fun. 👍
