*Tips cause I also only started my "dressing up to be the most extra person in the room" phase in uni (aka like this or last year):* - Posture has a lot to do with how you look actually - Pick an aesthetic, it can be easier to go with a feel sometimes - Never go above three colours - As long as it looks good on the outside, it's fine (aka beauty is pein) - Accessories can be your live saver (Exp: I almost always wear a necklace with my turtle necks) - Earrings can help tie a look together - Only wear hats if your head allows it (mine doesn't) - Take inspiration from things, especially things you like, they help provide experience for you to know what looks good (I personally use thirst traps and vague memories of cool outfits from TV shows I don't remember watching) - Dig through your parent's old clothes, you might be surprised at what you'd find (and it'll save you money, literally about 60% of my closet is from my mom's old clothes) - Confidence makes a big difference - Know your weather (your chances of looking hot when sneezing 24/7 is quite low, try to make it an adaptable fit if you also have to face the Malaysian weather after an aircon blasted lecture) That's all, but again these are all just my opinion based on my own personal experience. Pink and yellow can DEFINTELY be complimentary colors!!! I use them so often in my wardrobe because I love Bee and Puppy cat so much, I copied their outfits before cementing an identity for myself. The problem with the third outfit was that you used black AND white as a neutral tones instead of just one. You could make yourself look cuter with just white or- with just black- you can make yourself look more like a punk (ex: Hinamori Amu)
